How to post pics here on Escapees Forums

One of our members posted a link which took us to a blank page because the person he copied the link from used a Facebook page for the link. Second hand Facebook pic URLs expire pretty quick leaving a blank page.

First you need to right click on the pic and select save as, then save it to a folder you can find later. Then to post here you need it hosted online with a link called a URL that works here.

There are two ways I use. When I recommend Imgur.com beginners get lost but it is the fastest easiest way. I'll explain it at the bottom

It takes a long time to post more then one pic so I am not going to write this all over again. But it is on these forums and if you have not been able to post pics here the instructions with screen shots will make it easy-peasy.

It is here under fifth wheels, click on the title Whoa Nellie to go there:

The simpler way for me:

I go to https://imgur.com/, if you don't have an account register, sign in to imgur, then

1. Once you are signed in click on the account icon labeled "1" top right in the pic below a drop down menu appears. Then click on "Images" (labeled 2 in the pic below:

All your already saved images and a button to upload a new pic appear - click it and a new screen comes up:

Click add images then this screen pops up so can then browse to the pic you want to post here, drag and drop or browse to the pic and when it is dropped or clicked to the square in the pic it is now saved to your Imgur Library:

Then it appears in your saved pics file.

 

Now click on the pic you want to put on the forum post in your Imgur folder and a new menu appears:

For Escapees forums only use the Direct link link, click copy and it is save to your clipboard.

Then go back to the Escapees post you want to put the pic in, click where you want it so the cursor is where you want it. Paste into the Other Media escapees where it says to place the URL and you click to insert into post and it is there as below.

Recap:

1. Save picture you want to your computer where you can find it again.

2. Open and log into Imgur https://imgur.com/or RV.Net http://photoposting.is-great.net/?i=1

3. Then drag and drop or browse to the pic you want to use and double click or paste. It is now in your pics in Imgur online.

4. Now select/click on the pic and the URL choices appear.

5. Click the green copy button next to the "Direct Link." That saved it to your notepad.

6. Go back to your SKP post, click "Other Media" then click "Insert image from URL."

7. Paste the link in your clipboard into the box under URL then click on Insert Into POst button and it appears wherever you left the cursor in your post.

Doing it is way faster than any way I know.
