Jim & Wilma
We have a Warn 4K winch that pulled our 2013 smart nicely up 12’ ramps with a 47” rise.

Smart tips in at 2000 lbs. Thanks. Based on the math involved, angles, winch cable wraps etc. minimum size would be 2000# unless using a snatch block. Go bigger like Jim says like a 4000# so no worries. Not that much more expensive. I have an 8000# Warn which is way overkill but I found a deal where it was priced the same as a 4000#. GeorgiaHybrid
Look at a 3,500 to 4,000 pound capacity Warn ATV winch. They work well and have plenty of power to pull a smart up on the bed.

trimster
"We don't need no stinking badges (brakes)." Sorry. Could not resist the movie reference.
