scubadave
Symptoms are the Atwood Hydro Flame 8940 furnace ignites and runs for about 10 seconds and then shuts off. Reignits and runs for 10 seconds and shuts off. This repeats until room temp gets satisfied or manually shut it down. Manometer shows 11 Inches with no load but drops to 4 Inches with the furnace burning. Is this drop normal or do I need a new regulator? mptjelgin
Sounds like either a regulator or the valve on the bottle itself is not allowing much gas to flow. Have you tried switching the regulator to the other bottle (assuming that you have two bottles and can manually select the other)? scubadave
It does the same thing on either tank so I do not think it is the tank valves. I will install a new regulator later. dewilso
What’s the voltage doing ? Once upon a time I had a battery going south, the furnace would light, but the battery would sink & let the sail switch drop out. Dave W. KE5GOH Stuck in the 70's --- In E. Where the pressure drops that way I'd suspect that you are correct, but either way it would be helpful if you would let us know what happens next. scubadave
Installed a new regulator and this morning when I turned on the furnace everything worked as it should.
