Lou Schneider
Visitors are being evacuated from Yosemite Valley as the growing Ferguson wildfire west of the park threatens access along Highway 41. Tuesday morning officials held a public meeting in the park and said if you can leave, go now. The park will be closed from noon Wednesday through at least Sunday. https://www.fresnobee.com/news/local/article215400735.html
dartmouth01
The smoke is choking up alot of the Sierras unfortunately (I'm in Tahoe). Unfortunately, this is I think the 3rd year in a row that a fire in or near Yosemite has done so. Getting to be a regular occurence. Alot of people who planned to go to Yosemite are detouring to Tahoe. If you want to see how the smoke is affecting the area, check out this site: https://tools.airfire.org/websky/v1/run/test/FW06Z-1km/2018072406/#viewer

Jim Corey
Air isn’t quite so bad in Park Sierra, but bad enough. But the triple digit temps add to the problems. It’s definitely stay inside, run the a/c weather. The fire is in nearly impossible terrain, (no roads, steep canyons) and air resources can’t get in because of the smoke.
