jfaulkner
How do you update an old posting. I located a post from Jan and did an edit. I figure it would then show up as unread but it didn't. What I do wrong, or didn't do? Jer International 4700LP (2000) Travel Supreme (36RLTSOA) Fulltimer
Pat & Pete
I've noticed an edited post does not show as unread . I think the best way is to quote the target post and make note of any 'updates' . That way the thread is brought 'to the top' again . Goes around , comes around .

That would work, or you could use the cut & paste method to get the original post and put that into a new subject as an updated thread and then follow with your update immediately below. With a thread that is several months old, I think that I would go the new subject route as many people don't bother to read a new post to a very old thread. Pat & Pete
Hmm , other than a mod or admin , who checks the date of a thread ? I don't if I'm reading new posts , unless the post rings no bells , so to speak . Updates that are relevant to any thread should be welcome . Wouldn't they add credence ? Goes around , comes around .
