alan0043
Hi Everyone, I have been working on the heater core in the sleeper. I want to know is there a shut off valve for the heater cores ? Or do I drain the radiator down below the heater cores levels ? I own a Gen 2 Volvo. How much do you think the radiator needs to come down ? Darryl&Rita
Should be a valve on the supply and return lines. Look on the engine block, where the heater lines connect to the water passages. I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here. rdickinson
I just replaced both the hard water lines on Randy A's recommendation. The intention was to put a ball valve in there somewhere but was not able to find a straight section long enough to accommodate one by the time all the fittings were attached. Would the shut-off valve look like a gate valve ? Or a petcock valve style ? Darryl&Rita
PIck your poison. Mine are a small 90* valves, mounted on the block. They look similiar to these, but with a wire handle: I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here.
