Back in the day I used steering tires on a tractor to find out that they wore out faster than mud and snows. I assume steering tires all around would be better traction for wet roads! But off road I would need mud and snows? I assume there rougher riding but last longer? Any thoughts? If you stay on pavement and gravel roads then most types of lug tires aren't required. Maybe look into what is called an "all position" tire? They don't typically last as many miles and have less traction when on pavement. And they also have far more road noise when you are on paved roads.
