ronmon
A friend is getting a new fiver & is getting pressured to buy this product - an insert inside the tires. Does anyone know anything about them? I know nothing!! Ron

Ray,IN
They keep a flat tire on the rim, but only if it does not fly apart from excessive heat or carcass failure. Do your research, some tire mfgrs. say their use voids the warranty. 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis. USA IN 1SG retired;Good Sam Life member,FMCA ." ronmon
Thanks for the info. I surely don't know but seems like they'd be maybe good for steer wheels on a big vehicle but Lazy Days is really pressuring them to put 4 of em on a new fiver. Who lnows? Thanks again. skp51443
If they keep the tire on the wheel they can really reduce the damage a flapping one does to the wheel well and side of the RV. Depending on price I'd be tempted to add a set of some brand. Probably after I budgeted a tire pressure monitor system though. ronmon
First price was $2200 for 4. Came down to $1200. That alone would've scared me away! Ron
skp51443
Did that include the "spider" tool you need to change tires with the bands installed? Still $1200 for four pretty simple bands seems way high, on-line pricing is not easy to find on these bands. Alie&Jim's Carrilite
IMO- If Lazy Days is pushing the item....... RUN. It's another gimmick type quick sale item that they make a huge markup on. $1200 is still half too high IMO Alie & Jim + 8 paws 2017 DRV Memphis BART- 1998 Volvo 610 Lil'ole 6cyl Cummins

Ray,IN
I read on a different RVing forum, a guy who used them said some shops would not work on a tire/rim with Tyron bands. 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis.
