telcoman
I put together a slideshow of 2 caravans I was wagon master on last year. I removed the advertising bits. I'mdonewiththis forum
Those look like some fun times for you! Definitely lots to see. I do have a question, though. What are the Green Angels?
telcoman
They are like AAA, except they are government employees. They are mechanics and they cruise the highways looking for tourists in trouble. The don't charge for labor, just parts. We use them as tailgunners. Steve from SoCal
Wonderful slide show, looks like a great time. Do you have any idea if the status of bringing a big rig RV has changed recently? Would love to visit but with a big camper and class 8 truck it was no go in the past. telcoman
They are awesome. Anyone whose done a lot of driving down there has stories about them. They seem to be able ot fix anything and don't give up. There are reports of them using the GVW figure at some crossings. My boss is checking into that right now. Its like they do not understand what GVW is. An rV cna wight as much as it wants as long as its a self contained rV like a class A or Class C. The issue arises with truck campers. RV Vagabond Jerry
Is there an RV park that you like in San Felipe? From researching, it seems that they may be too small to handle coaches over 35 foot.
telcoman
I've only been there twice, last time about 3 years ago and at that time I had a truck & camper. The park I stayed in was very small as were the 2 or 3 along the beach next to it. I don't recall seeingany that would handle bigger rigs.
