rdickinson
Spring broke so door is held closed by 2 closer arms only. Looks like 3 Torx fasteners thru the bottom but the plastic surround around the opening needs to be either removed or moved out of the way to get at the Torx fasteners.. I was hoping to leave the cable but the new one is held in place by a crimped fitting on the hardware itself. If the plastic surround has to come out then the closers will need to be disconnected on the one end but how do you get the plastic surround out or moved enough to get at the Torx fasteners out? Alie&Jim's Carrilite
Ours had holes in the plastic that the screws just backed thru. Ron- Sibernut sent me a replacement spring for the one I broke. Dealer price is around $45 for a new latch and cable. Alie & Jim + 8 paws 2017 DRV Memphis BART- 1998 Volvo 610 Lil'ole 6cyl Cummins

rdickinson
Got that done. There were black pop out buttons to allow access to Torx screws. 3 of them. When pulling the old cable out, attach a string to it so you can pull the new one thru. When sliding the new one in it will hit a bulkhead fwd of the latch. The hole thru the bulkhead is about an inch up from the deck so pulling with the string won't work. I drilled a 1/2" hole thru the plastic frame of the door and used a coat hanger to push, poke the cable end to line up with the bulkhead hole then pulled it thru. The latch has 2 steps in it so don't push it back too far or it will only catch the first latch and won't lock tite. The latch needs to be fairly close, less than an 1/8" from the edged of the opening so it will catch the latch to lock it tite. There is adjustment with elongated holes. Part # VO 3981872 Now onto the cabinet drawers.
