GlennWest
Found an 2005 630 with just over 500k with Ultra shift, $21950. Is this a good year for this tranny?
MrSeas
I have a 2005 780 with the UltraShift behind a Cummins ISX and it has over 620k miles and is doing fine! You may have someone check the condition of the clutch if it's the original for peace of mind.
Raquel
We also have a 2005 780 with an Ultrashift, which has 570k miles. Absolutely no problems with it in 3 1/2 years.
GlennWest
Thanks. Good to hear. I was aware they had been changes in design over the years.
Star Dreamer
Our 2005 Freightliner has an Ultrashift. The newer ones will have some additional features I think like hill start assist and skip shifting which ours does not have. The issue we have with ours is using R2. We have tried it twice now and both times, even though the truck would move fine, when we tried to put in neutral it would not go and we got an error on the dash display. We had to shut the truck off and pray we could reset it which we were able to. Now we just use R1 which seems to work just fine. Dave
