Monaco Camelot 2009

Recommended Posts

I am seriously considering the purchase of the subject coach. It is one owner, which I have spoken to and discussed any issues. Nothing to worry about according to him, as it has been garaged in winter and regularly serviced. It is totally loaded.

Anything specific I need to check or have looked at? Or feedback from Monaco owners.

Welcome to the Escapee forums. We will help and assist as much as we are able.

You really didn't give us much to go on in expressing an opinion. How old is it, what maintenance history is available, how old are the tires, and a long list of other questions. I suggest that the first thing you do is to go over it in great detail, using this check list to be sure that you do not miss anything. Before purchase I would also want to have a good mechanic go over the chassis and an RV tech go through the coach, unless you are expert in those areas.

If that camper is like the one I looked at from a search, it is a fine RV. I would not mind having one. The MH I have is nice and meets my needs. If the one you are looking at indeed has been taken care of I am sure it would serve you well.

Good luck with it!! ;)

The Camelot gives you a lot of bang for the buck. Like all MH's there are some issues but none that are serious. You might check the tire codes for date of mfr. Probably 7 years old and ready for replacement. If the batteries are original they too might need replacing soon. Good luck!

We are currently at the Cummins Coach Care in Jacksonville FL and they will not work on Monaco chassis here if they can help it. Too much effort to get parts, including lots of phone calls that do not go well. A Holiday Rambler is here that came in with an engine issue almost a month ago, but in the process they found a radiator problem was the real issue. It was a nightmare getting a new radiator, which is supposed to arrive tomorrow,

One of the service writers had a Monaco Dynasty and loved it until Monaco went bankrupt. Then it was a nightmare and he is glad to have sold it.

Anyway, you really did not want a Monaco.
