but what do you do when high winds come
First, you never go on the roof during wind, and second, I leave them up. Those mounts are strong, the panels aren't going anywhere. What's kind of annoying is if the wind is blowing directly at their backs, they're like sails and make the RV rock more.

Tracfone has plans with 500 minutes, 500 texts, and 500 Mb of data per month.
On a flip phone? I guess we won't know what the OP's plan is unless he returns. 500 texts would be virtually 'unlimited' for me.

Really? You must be very young or have a short memory.
Allow me to rephrase. I've never heard of a *current* cell plan that does not have unlimited talk and text. I doubt the OP has a plan from 20 years ago.

, tilting should only be considered by the young.
Or those who are physically capable of doing it regardless of age.

I rarely make reservations. When you're mostly a dry camper you don't need to, because all the newbies are looking for hookups. They don't know a water pump from a watt.

I'd much rather get a reminder text than a call, which I'll likely miss and it'll go to voice mail, which I have "disabled" by allowing it to fill up to capacity because of all the spam voice mails, and Verizon's incredibly slow and annoying announcements about each message.
I've also been seeing an increase in Spam texts. I guess the law doesn't matter to these people.

the thought of wind storms catching the panels is to scary. Even with the small ones I put them down when high winds were forecast.
I get up to 50% better harvest when tilted, but sitting in high winds blowing directly at their backs is not pleasant when they act like big sails and make the RV rock pretty good... which is where I am right now.

Would require two more panels but they are smaller. Be easier to work with
Especially if you want to tilt them.

Li batteries have real issues with charging in cold weather that is below 32 degrees
So you wouldn't consider any kind of heating for them?

You won't replace with Li batteries? Used to live in Ephrata and enjoyed those very low power rates.

Yep, my 500A one is arriving today. However, have heard that its Bluetooth range is about 10'.
My Victron BMV-712 bluetooth is good for about 40'. The one little quirk is that it insists I have Location service turned on on my Android phone. I guess Verizon's updates or checks turn it off. Kinda annoying.

a Posa South about 5 miles south on 95, on the left. As far as I know it's the only one of the ltva's with water, dumpsters and dump station.
I think it's more like 2.5 miles.

If you don't like your neighbors within spitting distance you may find the pay areas more amenable. The Hi Jolly free area, for example, is usually wall-to-wall, and I imagine now it's pretty crowded.

Why is this even being discussed on an “RV” forum?
It should be in "Other topics"

Certainly there have been extremes for as long as I can remember and I am older than dirt.
The only extreme I concern myself with is the Co2 concentration which has not risen to levels this high, so fast, in several hundred thousand years. Everything else trends toward guesswork and political noise.

The 24 or 48 VDC to 12 VDC DC to DC Converter is of course a way to deal with higher voltage battery arrays. I thought we already went through all that a while back ???
Just a few times

I have been waiting to replace my OEM batteries until they wouldn't allow the 12 volt lights to work when I unplug.
That's not a great idea.

Me too! I want to live like at home and not have to run a generator. I have figured out how to put multiple quotes in one post on the other board, but not here.
