I agree and I'll stay out of the granny lane all day long in order to take the lane of least resistance; the center lane on a three lane road. Four wheelers and their odd merging habits keep me in the center lane as much as possible. However, safety and courtesy dictate that you stay out of the hammer lane (again, a three lane road) unless you're passing another vehicle.

At this point, it might be best to install a whole new harness, especially if you're finding corrosion at multiple locations.

Just to be clear...are we talking about an N14 or an ISX? Might want to get your hands on a wiring diagram and identify every single ground that comes off that electrical system. It seems as though every time someone messes with the wiring you have some success. Biggest mistake is to assume that you only need to clean battery and engine grounds. Always cringe when someone says they replaced the "bad" pins. What criteria did they use to define "bad"?

I'm just guessing here but maybe one of the "knocks" that folks have on the RK is the same one that folks express about our FL. Many people prefer to have scenic views available to them with the living space in the rear.

I'm coming off an absolutely TERRIBLE day, yesterday. I went down to the Jersey shore to take a look at 2ready2roll's Volvo 630 that is for sale...just to look, (someone is going to get themselves one sweet truck.) Not quite ready for an HDT but I'm absolutely convinced that this is the safest and best route for us to take. Came home and spoke to my DW about the truck and she said, "We will NEVER buy a truck that big!" I'm planning on attending the East Coast Rally with her to talk with more HDT folks but I certainly hope that yesterday's experience isn't a harbinger of things to come.

Jack...As a Wannabee, this has been one of the absolute best reads I've found. Thanks to you and the other members of this Forum who have contributed the information. I have been lurking on the MDT threads but now I see myself spending much more time viewing the HDT info. After a recent conversation with Gregg Shields, I think this is where I'll stay.
