  1. The fan motor for me, too. Replaced last year.
  2. Jim, There was an earlier post where some of us got together and bought cruise controls. There is a link to the ones we bought in the post. Installation is easy for this one. Some need some pin changes to a connector on the back right. This one does not. Also, no need to run a wire under the floorrmat from the rear to the front. A couple of things I learned: 1. When installing the circuit board near the foot pedal, tie wrap it in place or the tension on the wires will pull it out of the connector. Smart will only do about 35mph when it happens. 😒 2. If you are going to install the optional LED indicator light, drill the hole where there is very little light or the sunlight will make it so you can't see the LED. Frankly, it serves very little purpose. But if I were to do it again, I would mount it on the bottom side of the top of the cubby hole to the right of the steering wheel.
  3. Just a note on SD change to MH. I did it something like a year ago. Went loaded with all the documentation they listed on their conversion form (see the Resource Guide titling in SD) and all they wanted was a current weight ticket. Took 15 minutes.
  4. JPL has one registered in VA.
  5. Cannot send RandyA PMs.  Can send to others. Tried wife's account. She can't either.

  6. I cannot send to RandyA.  I can send to JPL.  I get this reject message for RandyA.

  7. http://www.big-rigs-rv.com/Home.html We use this site and the book all the time. We bounce it against the sites listed in the Resource Guide.
  8. We were surprised to see two fellow forum members at the Indy KOA, Indianapolis, IN. We found mb36912 and Ken L already there. They both have some beautiful rigs but Ken L's is awesome.
  9. I started lurking to see what info I could gather on buying and setting up my first HDT. Well, yesterday, I bought a 2005 Freightliner with a Detroit Series 60 455 HP with 730K miles. It has a 62" condo. There are some great posts that I have read and a lot more to read. My shop is big enough to put the FL in. I am a hobby machinest/welder and have the right stuff to do this project. I look forward t0 gaining more insight into my project and plan to make some input along the way.
