I read that link and it looks like yes the Escapees plan is about the same as the others. If you want to support Escapees you could switch.

I have both CoachNet and Good Sam roadside assistance. I have used Good Sam once in IN for a flat tire while I was at an RV park. I called them because their phone number came first in my cell phone. This was on a Sunday morning last June and Good Sam told me that because it was Sunday all of their preferred road assistance companies were not open. I was stunned thinking that they would tell me to wait until Monday. I asked if the road side assistance was not a 24/7 service? They said yes it was and they did send someone in a mini van and he was a pleasant young man who was from England. He was an educated person who had immigration issues so he was working for himself. He did the job although his compressor would only put 60 lbs in the tire with the mini van running and revved. My question regarding the Escapees roadside assistance is how will they be better? CoachNet and Good Sam have been in business for some time and I would think that they know what they are doing? Also there are only so many roadside/tow companies around and I have been told that Good Sam and CoachNet use mostly the same companies? Which companies will Escapees use. I hope they are not trying to reinvent the wheel?

I also have both Good Sam and CoachNet road side assistance. I have had both for 7 years. It is my understanding that both us e the same tow companies? The only on that I have used is Good Sam and the service was good.

As Kirk stated above, I use them if there are no other nice places. Some are not that much more then others and they are supposed to live up to standards set by corporate KOA. I stayed in one in southern MI earlier this month, about $40 for a pull thru with full hookups, TV and 50 AMP. They also had pick your own blueberries. We felt that it was a very nice place.

Now you know why so many of us go to Mexico!!!

I wonder how heat is coming from the overhead vents? Does your heat come from floor vents? I have a 2015 Wildcat with two ACs ducked together and the furance puts the heat out of floor vents in both the living/kitchen and bedroom. With heat on, the main cabin thermostat controls and the bedroom thermostat would work on AC but not on heat. Unless your heat comes from overhead vents, I would wonder how you have heat from those overhead vents? If it is not much heat coming from overhead vents it could be leakage but you would have to know how the AC/heat is ducked to see if that is possible. Good Luck

I am glad that I don't have this problem. Our little dog wouldn't stop barking if I took her RVing and I wouldn't do that to other RVers. Also they would likely ask us to leave.

Yes, Texas could eliminate inspections if they first clean up the air that we breath.

Jack, $34 was good. Around the Houston area the going rate is $39. Diesel pickups are still $14.50 because they don't do the emissions test on them. I am told that they wouldn't pass anyway.

While that is true, my co-worker drove around for 13 months with an expired sticker and no one ever stopped him. I would worry about a DPS officer, state trooper, stopping me for something else, like speeding, and because he was nice and gave me a break but did give me a ticket for the expired inspection sticker. Speeding is a moving violation and is reflected on your driving record, while the expired inspection sticker does not go on your driving record.

Under the new rules if you have a registration sticker that is within the date required, they would know that it had been inspected within 90 days or less. When I last got my fiver and truck inspected, October 2013, all the young lady did was confirm the serial number on the dash and, while I sat in the truck and turned the lights on, turn signals on and off and tapped the breaks as she walked around and made sure that they all worked. That will be $29 ($14.50 each) and have a nice day.

I register all of our trucks and trailers on line and have not been to a tax office in years. You do save a dollar of two with multi year registration. I find that with multi year registration you just don't have to worry about it for a few years. Can't think of any other benefit? Now that I have those three year registrations I just wonder how they will handle the inspections? If you can still do all registrations online it will not matter that they have different due dates.

Are any of you aware of the fact that you can register your trailer for more then one year in Texas? I just, a few months ago, renewed my registered on my truck and three trailers for three years. I wonder how they will handle that? I have two trailers, cattle and flatbed, that are farm and don't require inspection. My fiver is due inspection in October and if I don't move it for a month or two and then I just get it inspected when I do. That will not be possible with the new law. I wonder what the issue was that caused then to change the law? I don't think that I like it.
