  10. Hi Everyone, I did a Google search on the part number ( 1319466A ) that Nigel posted. I was surprised at the cost. $21 was the cheapest price I found. Is there anything special about this filter ? It just looks like a inline fuel filter that you can get for $5. Al
  11. Hi Nigel, Thank you for your input. When it bought my truck it had been serviced but I don't thing they changed the fuel filter for the cab heater. It will be great to see what you can find out from the dealer. Who knows, this could make for a project at the ECR. See you in April, Al

  14. Hello Bill, I think your questions would be best seen in the MDT section. I don't think anyone will see your questions. They will get lost in this thread. Please start a new topic and you should see some replies. There is some nice looking MDT's out there. There is a couple that I know that are full timers and they enjoy there truck. It does have 4 doors and is automatic. I hope this helps, Al

  16. Hi Everyone, My thought process on wiring my Jackalopee came from the industrial world. The pieces of equipment that I ran was wired using terminal strips. I operated electrical and gas fired furnaces for heat treating of steel and non-ferrous materials. I understand that everyone has a different thought process. This was just my thought process. The terminal strips help with in trouble shooting industrial pieces of equipment. So why not the truck. There is also a clear cover to help protect the terminal strips. It is not in the picture. If you need to add a wire or too, it can be done a little easier with the strips. Al
  17. I am glad that the photos can help. I got the idea about the terminal strips from Jim. There is one place that I would do over. I would use clear heat shrink tubing over the labels on the wires. I also tried to keep the wires colored coded. All the parts are mounted to 3/4" plywood. Best of luck with your project, Al
  18. Hi Dan, Congratulations !!! Thank you for sharing your story and the pictures. I hope to see you on the road some day, Al
  19. I think I would ask to see that requirement in writing or have them point me to the correct area where this requirement is. It is tuff to remain cool when they keep throwing different curve balls at you. There must be a place where you can read the requirements. Is your local DMV any help ? I was very luck here in Ohio, but my local DMV was a big help. I live in a small city in Ohio. Al

  21. Hi Jemstone, I have a little info for you. My truck is a 2012 Volvo 630. I think your upper cabinet is the same size as my upper cabinet. This is the microwave I have in my truck. Magic Chef model #MCM770WI, 0.7cu.ft., 700 watts. Here is the most important number. The microwave is 17" wide. The opening in my cabinet is 17 1/2" (17.5"). I bought mind at Home Depot for $44. They had a sale going on at Christmas time. Al
  22. Hi cwill925, I am curious what your truck is registered as with State Farm. Motorhome ? The reason that I am asking this question is because I am also with State Farm in Ohio. My first truck was registered as a 'Toter'. It seems maybe I should look to have this new truck that I am working on registered as a motorhome. Thank you for any input, Al
