    Discount Ramps

Hi Everyone, I was curious to know if Discount Ramps ever have a sale on their ramps ? It's about time I get a set of ramps for my truck. I was hoping I could find a sale on them before I decide to pull the trigger and buy some ramps. I know that Discount Ramps make a nice product. I am thinking about the ones that are 19" wide. Just looking to save some money. Thanks for any help or ideas, Al
  5. Hi Everyone,I am looking for suggestions where to mount some remote displays. I have a hard wired surge protection in the trailer. I have a remote display for the surge protection I would like to install in the trailer and I also have a remote display for the inverter that needs to be mounted. I am not sure where to mount these remote displays. Looking for ideas where to mount the displays. Both displays do not needed to be mounted in the same place. Does anyone have pictures of their remote displays ? I also understand I might need to remove some of the ceiling in the storage area to help run any wires. The more that I look at the ceiling the harder it's looking to run wires. The frame work for the bedroom floor and the steel frame work for the trailer is going to cause a big problem. I do not want to drill any holes thru this frame work. The inverter in the trailer is all most impossible to see if the inverter is on or not. That is one main reason for the remote display for it. The trailer is a 2019 Redwood.Looking for lots of ideas or locations,Al

    Washing

Hi Randy, I would be careful with using bleach. You need to know the pH of bleach. Cleaning your truck I would think you want a product with a neutral pH. Al

Hi Everyone, I want to say ' Thank You ' for the ideas. I have been on the road, so I haven't started putting the vinyl decal on yet. Al
  14. Hi Everyone, I want to make sure my headlights are in adjustment. I have a gen 2 truck. The adjustment screw that is coming out looks like it is a torx style. Does anyone know what that torx size could be ? Or better yet, what size socket to use ? It looks like a a 5mm socket could work but there is some slop between the socket and the adjustment screw. A 5mm socket works good with a T-30 torx. There is no slop. Any ideas on the size of the adjustment screw ? They don't make a 4.5mm socket or do they ? Any ideas on the size ? Al

    Applying Decals

I should have said vinyl. There is already adhesive on one side and the other side you have a sheet of a waxed paper material needs to be removed last. I have found a video or too showing how to do this job. From what I have seen, it will be best to have a helper.

    Applying Decals

Hi Everyone, I want to add some decals to my truck. The size of the area that the decal would cover is 30"x 36". I will be doing this job by myself. I have seen on line that there are 2 different methods. The dry method and the wet method. Which would be the best ? I can not put the truck inside to do this job. I know it will be best to have shade on the side of the truck when doing this job. I can put one decal on one day and the next day put the second decal on. Wet or dry method ? Thanks for any help, Al

    Front Spoiler

Hi Denver, I want to ' Thank You ' again for the info. I have been dragging my feet on the phone call. Trying to keep up with maintenance around here and also taking care of my neighbors place since he is gone. The Redwood national rally is coming up quickly and getting the truck and trailer ready for the rally. Thanks again for the help, Al

    Front Spoiler

Hi Mastercraft, Thanks for the led. I'll do a Google search on DEX and see what happens. So far the other Google searches I have done on Volvo VNL spoiler/air dam has come up empty. That search was for the three piece bumper. Al

    Front Spoiler

HI Rich, Thank you for the idea. Do you have a picture that you can post ? What did you made your spoiler/air dam out of ? Al

    Front Spoiler

Hi Everyone, I was curious to know, did Volvo make a front spoiler for their trucks ? I was doing some maintenance on the front of my truck and noticed that there are tabs on the three pieces that make the front bumper ( gen 2 ) with about 3/8" wide slots. It looks like there was an optional piece that could be added to the front of the truck. Does a spoiler go there or something else ? Is there any web sites showing the parts that make the front of the truck ? Thanks for any help, Al
  23. Hi Randy, I wish you the best my friend. I hope everything goes go for you. I can still remember the first time my back acted up. I was 38 years old. I couldn't even lift up my leg. All I could do was drag my leg. Enough about me. I know back surgery keeps changing. I hope they get you fixed up. Is the plan to fuse the vertebra together where the problem is ? I wish you the best and have you in my prays. I hope to see you next year in Tenn. Talk to you later, Al PS; Please keep us updated
  24. Hi tx, Welcome to the forum. I will try to find a thread from earlier this year when there was a discussion about Texas registration. This might help till I can find that thread. In the upper right hand corner on any of the different sections there is a search function. You could use the key words like " Texas registration ". I would use the search function from the hdt section. I believe by doing that way, only threads that were started in the hdt section would show up. Good luck and Welcome to the forum, Al
