bigredhdt
I have kodiak disc brakes on my trailer. The mount consist o a rubber sleeve that fits inside the caliper, the a stainless tube, inside the tube is where the mounting bolt goes. Grease goes between the rubber bushing and the stainless tube. I have used anti-sieve which is not the right application, now I use the disc caliper grease, but in one year it is no longer any use. Any suggestions out there? Good product though. Quote Fulltiming since September 1, 2010 2012 Ford F-350 PSD SRW Lariat Crew Cab 2012 Montana 3585SA
GeorgiaHybrid
I use the same synthetic brake lube that Shawn uses. The older, non ceramic version was a green color, the new ceramic lube is a purple color but either one worked great. bigredhdt
That product says for metal to metal contacts. This is metal to rubber.
GeorgiaHybrid
Well I guess I have been screwing up since 1972 when I started working as a mechanic at dad's garage. I will say this much, if you ask 100 techs what they use, all of them will use either that product or a very similar one. Sehc
There are many silicone products if you are worried. I and others use synthetic grease.
