Football game in Houston on Sept 2, where to stay for a few days, big rig

7 posts in this topic

Going to the LSU-BYU game on Sept 2 in Houston, pigskin classic kickoff game. Where is a good place to stay for a few days, maybe a week. Within an +/- hour of the stadium is fine. HDT + 40' 5ver. And what should we do while we are there? NASA, fish?

Thanks,

Shannon

We always stay at Advanced RV Resort in Pearland. Great RV park and location, near restaurants etc. Sites will be big enough for you. Corner of Sam Houston Tollway and US 288. Gives Escapees discount. Accepts mail and packages.

Advanced RV has a key element for a football game. Location, location, location. It is literally minutes from NRG Staduim. It is also not a secret location. You may need to book early to get a spot.

We've stayed at Spring Creek Park in Tomball, TX. It's a county run park that is really pretty. Best of all it is FREE for FHU 50 amp site. They have about 8 sites in a row that are level and fully paved. I think maximum stay is 7 days.

We're also a big rig and I wouldn't hesitate to suggest it to anyone.
