Mark and Dale Bruss
If you get the dome wouldn't you use satellite 119 which is where 99% of Channels(programs) arre? For DirecTV that would be true with done of the channels in HD. For Dish, the channels are distributed over the three Western Arc satellites or the two Easter Arc satellites. Dutch_12078
For Dish, the 72.7 eastern arc sat or the 129 western arc sat will give you the majority of the available HD channels, less most locals. DKRITTER
We currently have a Hopper2 at home and a 211Z in the trailer. We installed the Trav'ler last spring and love it. I was told by dish I couldn't take my Hopper and hook it up in the trailer so I did it anyway and it works fine. When we go on longer trips we take the Hopper2 out of the house and use it and just change our service address as we move. BTW we use the chat function to change our SA and never have a problem. It seemed that everytime we did it on the phone it didn't work. Question: Is the Trav'ler compatible with the newer Hopper 3? All the information I have read says it is a 1000 but nothing regarding which 1000. We only use the main TV and have never turned on the one in the bedroom. All the information I have read says it is a 1000 but nothing regarding which 1000. Nope. But a standard Winegard DISH Travler SK-1000 can be modified. A few of us, including me, have done this. Mark and Dale Bruss
Another view on change a Trav'ler SK-1000 to Hybrid LNBF for Hopper 3 usage Dish Hopper 3. I have done two, the Trav'ler on the trailer and the Trav'ler on the Bounder.
