Effects of the sun most likely. Why I keep my bike and Jeep covered since I do not have garage unless I'm moving from place to place.
Many years ago I was in Arizona with my Goldwing in the back of my pickup at the time. Left a water bottle on the seat in the Arizona sun and the combination melted a section of the seat.
When I rode in Florida a lot I'd see guys putting T-Shirts on their windshields to prevent the effects of the sun through the windshields.

News on my end of this subject.
was traveling last Friday. 400 miles away from home. Transmission went out in the van. Lots of calls. Coach net was good.
Finally rented a U-Haul truck and trail to haul van home. Had to take the fenders off the trailer to load van. Then put fenders back on. Got home Sunday night. Late.
unloaded van yesterday after removing the fenders. Put fenders back on. Returning the U-Haul stuff this morning. Then order rebuilt trans. Should be hear tomorrow.
The photos are side tracked, at least until U-Haul stuff in delivered.
spent a few bucks on that trip. But I will find the pictures.
Polysermites. A termite-like microbe that attacks plastic. Ha ha ha
Seriously no idea except was it parked in on spot for a period of time where the sun could have been reflected on the surface like a magnifying glass form something nearby/

Agreed! I know from our travels that we planned months in advance for the summer. I do think your rig might fit if your plans change. Thanks for the reply!!
