Hmmm seems there has been a shake-up here. Yesterday, late in the afternoon, the manager (whose own lot we were on) told us that we would have to move to another lot as they, the managers, were moving from the designated Manager's lot, to their own. We didn't know why but didn't argue. (the new lot is quite nice). Doug sees that there are notices in all the leaseholder's mail boxes so we guess the managers have quit.

So we are now in Lot 10 if anyone is coming this way.

Hmmmmm

Park politics? Didn't this happen there a while back too? :o

I can vouch for the fact that there are two 3:30's in each day. My day started before the first one and by the second one that pin of mine was flying all over the place. Ya Steve, I heard a rumor that the roads in the Hampton's need painting.

No shaking going on around here in fact there isn't much of anything going on around here. The wind today was just stong enough to make it uncomfortable to sit outside. Then this evening we got a 6 inch rain fall. (That's 6 drops about 6 inches apart) I sat inside most of the day drawing some patterns for carving. Then this evening I was tired of looking at these walls and took one of the cowgirls out to the Italian Restaurant in Brawley. When we got back we got another 6 drops of rain. Tomorrow doesn't look to be any better. The hitch itch is returning. Maybe, I'd better turn my trailer in a different direction and make my self think I'm at a new campground.

When the shops and sights around you don't change it gets harder to believe you are in a different place. :)

We put the floats on the bottom of the motorhome overnight. We figured if it continued to rain that we'd just float out of here. Well, we didn't get that much rain but we did get enough to create a lot of puddles around here. With all that liquid sunshine on the desert, I'm wondering if the spring flowers will start popping up all over now :D .

We had a great spaghetti feed at Steve and Carol's last night along with cranberry juice. We figured IYQ would follow the scent and find us. He didn't. Thus, we all ate his share too. :D

Yes! It was a grand gathering at Steve and Carols! Sauce was excellent! Thanks again guys. Yep, and since IYQ didn't show up, his ears should be ringing as we talked about him an extra lot too!

Rain? What's that? dreary clouds.... have about 15 skinny drops on the windshield every hour that evaporate....just as I though, just enough to mess things up around here! The sun is trying to break through. :[ would really like to see a puddle!

Not leaving until at least the 1st of April. Love it here, even on a bad day and we haven't had any yet.

I couldn't find the oars to my rowboat or I'd have been there. We got a real good soaking all during the night last night. And this morning I could have sworn that I saw Jim out there sitting by one of the puddles with a fishing pole in his hands. It has been a little cool and breezy during the day today. I sat inside most of the day.

that makes it even harder to persuade yourself you moved. At least is there was a lake or a fence on one side you could move it to the other side. But if the grocery store didn't change, my mind says I didn't move far enough.

Got an offer on our RV today. It was lower than we wanted but it is time to sell it so we said OK. Now we're just waiting to see if it actually happens. I'm afraid to hope too hard.

That is great news - not the price but the fact that you might get rid of it.

It started out this morning a little breezy but it turned out to be a fantabulous day. I sat outside and carved most of the day. Then I went to the Buchshot for dinner. "Alone" Darn, Where are those cowgirls when you need one. I'm starting to get hitch itch again already. Linda S. is right the grocery store is still at Wally World. Come to think of it. That's where it is every place I go. No wonder I have hitch itch all the time.

Well, we're cross our fingers and then our toes!

Yesterday we took quite a little road trip with Freddy and Delcie. We ended up in Glamis at the Sand Dune Capital. We didn't realize it was a 4-day weekend but passed hundreds (or was it thousands) of RVs heading that way. Wow! Those dunes were spectacular. It would be fun to just sit there a couple of days and watch but I definitely wouldn't want to be there on a weekend. Now we're trying to decide if we're going to head that way. It's BLM land. :D

Jeri, it's not bad at Glamis during the first part of the week but every weekend it's mobbed and every Sunday they gang up on our rest area dump station.

It was a rather nice day today. I sat outside and carved most of the day. I've finished the project I was carving on so now I don't have anything to do but chase cowgirls.

Denise sent me an email saying she bought two LED replacement bulbs for her florescent fixtures. But when she looked at all the wires in the fixtures she was in shock. I sent her a how to and later I got another email saying she got down to the last wire and was lost again. I repeated the instruction for that wire in slightly different words. I hope she gets it done. It will give her confidence in working with her 12 volt wiring system. I think she's at Parker now. If she still has a problem figuring it out I'll stop past there on my way back to Deming in about a week or so.

We're going to head over to the Buttercup area of the dunes tomorrow with Freddy and Delcie just to watch them. The places are packed with dune buggies and about everything else you can imagine over this holiday weekend. Did you know it was a holiday weekend?? We should have an awesome view.

We still haven't been able to have a campfire. The wind seems to pick up and even though the temperature is in the 70's, the wind is a little nippy at night. We've had a great time with the Prathers. Every evening at least the four of us get together for our own "happy hour". Tonight we had dinner at Coco's in town and then headed back to our own little piece of paradise. We know we need to get on the road north but not sure when we'll be doing it. Maybe tomorrow but probably next week we'll hit the road north.... maybe. Right now we're enjoying ourselves.

Don't tell IYQ that we added two more batteries and we're still boondocking. He won't believe it. :D

Good thing you got the Jeep, now you can drive up on the dunes and watch the dune buggies race. :D You can take Freddy and Delcie over the dunes to the fence now!!!:P

That's not going to happen. We're there to view the events. If we were going to ride, it would be with the ATVs and not the Jeep and especially not on a holiday weekend. That place is packed!

I can just see Lead foot Jeri out there in that Jeep racing the dune buggies. Gritting her teeth (That's because of the sand in her mouth) and white knuckled. I'm beginning to see some strange sites maybe it's my age.

I got my mail from back east today so I've spent the day doing bank statements and getting tax stuff ready. Not the most exciting thing I've ever done.
