Bend, Oregon to I-5 Oregon

Looking for route advice from Bend, Oregon to I-5 Oregon.

It looks like our options are:

First option, from Bend, Hwy 20 to 126 into Eugene.

Next option from Bend, Hwy 20 passing Sweet Home into Corvallis/Albany

Finally, from Bend to 126 to 22 into Salem.

We have a 25’ Class B+ and just need to get to I-5.

I’ve driven hwy 20 from Bend to Corvallis/Albany and plan to do it again this summer.  It’s a pretty drive, not difficult for me towing a 21’ travel trailer.  I’ve never driven the other two routes, so can’t tell whether they would be better or worse than hwy 20.

We've driven it via 126 with our 40' MH towing the Jeep.  Be careful at Sisters that you don't get on 242..... you won't like it!  🤪  (Although with a small 25' Class B you just may like it)   Of course, the route you take depends where you're heading once on I-5.

Which way are you going after you hit I-5 ?  You should have no problem with any of those routes.  If going south take 126 and north take 20 or 22.

With your class B it really shouldn't be any problem taking any of those routes. If you are unsure of yourself in mountain driving, they I'd probably choose to take US20 all of the distance to Albany.

We decided to head to Eugene from Bend/Redmond and drove Hwy 20==> 126 and had no problem with the route. Quite scenic in many spots but the sections that were burned due to wildfires was heartbreaking to see.

One thing I forgot to mention. The section outside of Sisters is a bit rough. Had to dodge a number of potholes...otherwise, no problem.
