etcetera
Thinking about getting this 2012 F550 shuttle bus for conversion. I like the specs. V10 6.8L gas, Super Duty, 32-passenger. Not too small but not overly huge. The GWVR is 19,500 but the question is, what's the curb weight? I would like to upgrade the suspension to lift it just a bit. Actually not so much lift but to increase the load. And go with slightly bigger tires. What is the capacity of the gas tank? 40 gallons? 2012 F550 shuttle bus Edited October 27, 2021 by etcetera
Darryl&Rita
Get them to send a picture of the conversion company rating plate. By law, all upfitted vehicles require this information to be attached to the vehicle. etcetera
vehicle tag with rating numbers. Can you deduce from the above info what the safe cargo amount is? Knowing that GWVR is 19,500 lbs.
Darryl&Rita
That's the manufacturer's tag. The conversion company will have another one, with the ratings you're looking for. Looks like a SpaceCraft body, but the rules apply to all. etcetera
where would that plate be attached to? Yeah, it is a StarCraft body on a F550 chassic. With gas engine which is a bit of a unicorn (almost all seem to be diesel) Edited October 28, 2021 by etcetera
