When I looked at the Garmin a couple of years ago it had lackluster reviews, lots of people saying it didn't always work. That may have changed tho. folivier Posted May 29, 2021 Report Share Posted May 29, 2021 I've been using a SpotX since 2019, upgraded from a Spot for our Alaska trip. It has worked everywhere we've tried it. I typically just activate it when we're traveling.
