scotts
i have a dometic stat that has the 3 wire connections, my issue is when the stat is set for heat and calls for the furnace the fan on the AC runs and the heater does operate, when temp is satisfied both turn off. To get around this i turn off the AC breaker and the furnace operates fine. Bad stat or "controller" in AC unit?

Kirk W
The actual control of which unit operates is in the air conditioner in most cases. Is it the one that looks like this? Kirk W
I haven't worked with that exact thermostat, but here is a place to get the operating manual for it if you don't already have a copy. Wrknrvr
Read the manual on how to initiate the system. It will probably be at the end of the installation instructions. It mite be a little confusing but it is there. Print that and keep it handy. You may need it again. That is how to reset the controls. That may fix your problem. I'mdonewiththis forum
You probably don't need to reset anything. I had the same one. It sounds like you have the fan set to either high or low. Push the mode button so the light by the fan is on and set it to auto. Easy to get confuzzled with them new fangled contraptions.......
