SWharton
We want to black our part of 2 windows. Our choices are: Contact type, Static cling type or Window Film. Anyone have any comments or have done something like this we would appreciate some feedback on pros and cons. Thanks
Ray,IN
With contact paper type and window film there is the probability of getting air bubbles under them over time, it depends upon the skill level if the installer. Cling type is removable of course, but I've had some medium tint on one window for 2 years without it coming loose/curling, and a credit card works well to remove returning air bubbles if I am patient. 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis. TLRam1
I use the Gila Privacy Control Black film in my house, it has worked fine. The Black is not total black-out. Terry
SWharton
Thanks, we were looking at to Black Gila. I agree about using the credit card. In a pinch, credit cards are good ice scrapers also.
FL-JOE
Regular window film/tint isn't bad to work with if you keep it wet and the window you are covering is nice and flat. Have you considered trying to get a mobile window tint vendor to price out what you want to do? SWharton
No because it is the MH and their facilities are normal small. I have done this on our windows on a couple of houses and it is no big deal. It is not the doing it, it is what product to use. I am leaning toward film.
