Escapees Mail Service

So what browser are people using who can’t see their exact balance?   Are you saying the Escapees has set up different web sites for different members?   I don't see how that is possible.  I'm looking at my MMS dashboard and it lists the current balance as $69.97.   So either I am accessing a different website than you are, or we are looking at different screens.  I do see the balance level when you go to the Postage History page, and as I explained, that gives you a general snapshot.  That page says I have a $70 balance - which is $69.97 rounded off.    And on the Postage History page, all of my history is correctly listed in descending order.   So either I'm terribly special (and only my 96 yr old mom thinks that) or it would seem that there is something different about the browsers we're using.

I don't have Escapees mail service so I have no idea what screens y'all are seeing, but what compelling reason is there to have a rounded-off number in a "balance" field?  Just put the actual balance, and let the person looking at it round it off in his head if he wants to.

Rounding it off serves no purpose and apparently actually causes confusion.  There's no reason for even a "general snapshot" to not be accurate in this day of computers, and in fact, the website has to go out of its way to render a rounded-off number.  I don't get it.

The argument isn't about the way the Postage History balance is shown (which was some programmer's idea, and not a well thought out one) but whether or not Escapees is trying to cheat people on postage.

Our argument is about the way Postage history balance is shown as it makes it difficult to see if a mistake has benn made.

So you believe Escapees is out to cheat you?   In 13 years I have never questioned the balance on our account.  Having the ability to check (which is really never do) is a recent addition on the website.  Why didn't you give them a call at the office and ask them to email you the information if you feel they are cheating you.   [Shaking my head in sadness]

Who said anything about cheating? If not all, Some are having problems with rounded dollar amounts. Fix the programing.

Now, check your postage history list; you will see that the balance is always rounded, or rounded down to $X.00 (so stealing everything over $.01).
