Chad Heiser
I am looking at possibly buying a used Nissan Frontier P/U with a 6 spd manual transmission. Everything I am reading says that it should be towable 4 down. I'm just wondering if anyone out there currently uses a Nissan Frontier as a toad and if you do, what is your experience towing it? 2000 Kenworth T2000 w/ Cummins N14 and autoshift 2017 DRV Mobile Suite 40KSSB4 with factory mods, dealer mods and personal mods - now in the RV graveyard 2022 DRV Full House MX450 with customized floor plan 2018 Polaris RZR Turbo S (fits in the garage) 2016 Smart Car (fits in the garage or gets flat towed behind the DRV when the RZR is in the garage)My First Solar Install ThreadMy Second Solar Install Thread & Photos and Documents Related to the buildMy MX450's solar, battery and inverter system - my biggest system yet! chadheiser.com West Coast HDT Rally Website
Kirk W
If you have not done so, check out the REMCO Towing website. You will need to tell them what year but based on a 2016 year model, this is what I found. Quote 2016 Nissan Frontier ALL 4WD V6 4.0L cyl 6-Speed Manual Manual Notes Towable as is with speed and/or distance restrictions. Please see Owner's Manual for confirmation and procedures. Idle the engine in "neutral" for several minutes after every 500 miles of towing to circulate the fluids. Follow prescribed towing procedures outlined in your Owner's Manual. The transfer lever must be placed in 2H. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years......
