Upper Bunk Storage cabinet complete

Pretty simple design.  Put angle brackets into the seatbelt holders and along the storage closets, then tied it all together with aluminum angle.

Used 3/4" plywood and covered it with a grey upholstery fabric that matches the color scheme of the truck interior pretty well.

It runs the entire width of the cab up to the storage closets.  Has hydraulic lift arms to hold the door up.

The existing roof light, lights up the interior of the cabinet and a new light was plumbed into the bottom to light up the bed.

Finally, the best thing was the sound improvement.  Dropping the speakers from the roof into speaker boxes hanging from the bottom of the cabinet really enriched the sound.

No fires near us but we'll be heading to Idaho w/truck & 5er for 3-weeks of elk/deer hunting in Sept.  Fires all over that area.  Last year I woke up each morning at 9,000ft and looked out over the valley Dena and 5er were in and the smoke was so thick it looked like fog.

Should be a great medium term shakeout trip.  Good test for the solar panels and 4 new 6v deep cycle batts I installed last weekend.  Had to reinforce the compartment with some angle iron to support those bad boys!

Almost have it where I want it!  Drom box will be the final addition in October.
