SWharton Posted March 20, 2017 Report Posted March 20, 2017 We have a dash cam that we run all the time facing down the road. We are now considering an interior "security" system. This is what we would want(we think): Day/Night, wide camera angle, HD, Audio, intrusion alarm(not sure that is possible, have cats), temperature alarm(high/low), links to cell phone via internet(when possible), records(to cloud and device) entire time when there is movement. Have I missed anything? Our main reason for this is temperature first(in case of power loss) and intrusion second. Our minimal solution would be to buy another dash cam and face it toward the inside but that doesn't come close to our requirements. Of course, minimal $$$$.
DuffMan Posted March 20, 2017 Report Posted March 20, 2017 Be sure it also has loop record. That way you will have captured the most recent XX hrs of recorded video. (I haven't found one that specifically states it has loop record though.) Also 3MP (2304 X 1296P) (You want as high a definition as possible to identify intruders.)http://www.ebay.com/itm/282245884700?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT With an on board Mobley always on and motion detection you have pretty good protection for $20/mo.
SWharton Posted March 20, 2017 Author Report Posted March 20, 2017 Yes the mobley helps a lot with connectivity. Thanks for the headsup with the looping.
