CHIEFWAHO
We had been looking for an aluminum wedge for probably better than a year. This 50' Featherlite popped up about 2 hours from us. Picked it up over a month ago. It needs a few little things but the most glaring need to me were the tires. Little test loading Has 3, 7k axles all with brakes. Decided to upgrade wheels and tires to 17.5" Also went with new hubs to upgrade from the 1/2" studs to 5/8" 1999 Volvo VNL610, Cummins M11 - 350/400 HP, 10 speed Rockwell - 'CHIEF' Custom flatbed with TrailerSaver air hitch. 3 cyl 8000 watt Kubota diesel generator. maveric
Very nice. I was struggling with needing to put 3 vehicles on my 30' GN. It just wasn't going to happen. My son is almost to driving age, and we picked up a crawler for him a few months back. So we did something similar. Actually heading to South Dakota to pick up a 48' drop deck tomorrow. Never thought I would say that my 30' trailer was too short. When I ordered it from the dealer in 2002, it was the biggest trailer in town (although its not a big town). I hope I don't out grow the new one.... Chris & Tonya '99 Freightliner FLD120, '01 Wabash Toyhauler (32' garage, 20' LQ)

maveric
Those wheels look good. I opted for the 22.5's on the new trailer, but I was seriously considering upgrading to 17.5's on my goose. Ended up moving to G rated 16's....then bought the new trailer. They should last me a LONG time. Did you replace backing plates and brakes at the same time?
