Anyone have a carrier/proheat APU?

I've got the 120V shore power cord connected where the generator would be. I connected the 12V (2 wire harness) to the batteries and ground, but the display won't come on.

I talked to someone today who said I also need to put 12V/Ground on the 4 wire harness that would normally run to the engine control unit. He claims that without that the unit will stay dead.

I'm going to try the 12v/ground on the other harness tomorrow and see what I get...

Connecting the 12v/ground on the harness that would go to the engine control module did the trick. The schematic made it seem like it was an output from the main board to the engine control module, but apparently it's not.

Now the display lights up the fan and condenser fan runs, but the compressor won't kick on. I suspect it's low on R22.

Speaking of R22, can I still get it?

R22 is still available, I buy it on a regular basis. R134a is a replacement. But there is no "drop in" replacement for R22. So some changes have to be made, those changes vary by the design of the system. I am a universally certified refrigeration tech.
