trostberg
I am researching jobs in Alaska that have an RV site and also pay a wage and it seems like most do not have RV spots. That would be fine except I travel with a kitty. Anyone else discover this same thing.
jjwicklund
Most of the summer help are college students I doubt many have RV's so employers provide housing. Just did a google for Alaskan summer jobs and right away found one with RV sites. http://www.coolworks.com/talkeetna-alaskan-lodge/profile Nice area we stopped there last summer. rv
Coleen
Your choice of wording may make a big difference in being able to find what you want. Many places that do not have "RV sites" have a place you can park your RV on the premises and live in it. If you are willing to drive to the grocery store to empty your gray and black water tanks, and to fill with fresh water, and if you make sure employers know that, that will also increase your chances of finding a job where you can park on the premises. Alaska is extremely pet friendly; I doubt employers will view your kitty as a negative.
trostberg
I know that a kitty in the RV is not a problem but I have found in the national parks if they provide housing pets are not allowed, although sometimes fulltime staff do have them. Thanks for the tip on the wording for parking.
Coleen
You might also consider a combo deal, hosting at a state rec site in exchange for your RV site and then working a different job for wages. Some of the rec sites don't require a lot of hours.
