Welcome to the forums! Good to have you with us.

They have a pretty good reputation. Since the RV is now 8 years old the condition is everything but since you are certified to inspect it, go for it. :D

If its well cared for and maintained then your Cummins will run for years. As for Monaco they have a great reputation. The 2006 thru 2008 years had some issues due to rushed production but I would think they are probable worked out by now. Do your due diligence and have the chassis inspected by a reputable diesel shop with oil & tranny fluid analysis. Call Monaco and they will send you a build sheet, possible schematics etc. Their tech support people are very knowledgeable and so helpful.

Monaco did have some frame issues, trailing arms plus other things. Be sure check recalls on NHTSA. When Navistar owned them they did not take on the liabilities so recalls were not covered.

These were generally on the RR4R chassis not the RR8R. More info is available on the Yahoo Monaco owners site as well as the Monaco Owners forum on Irv2 website
