roberjw49
Is the Eaton Fuller 10 speed an automatic - no clutch? John
Mark and Dale Bruss
Stick shift. For the 2000 era, the semi-automatic transmission is referred to as an Autoshift.
Dennis M
John, that Eaton Fuller is probably what they call a Super 10, 5 lever shifts, 5 button shifts. Same trans I have, I only use the clutch to start and stop, otherwise I "float shift" by matching engine speed to road speed. Smooth as a knife through butter. In stop & go traffic you can float down in 2nd & 3rd - or even 1st - and creep along, never touching the brake or the clutch. Nice trans and none of the potential headaches. fastfred
John, Use clutch to start and stop. Everything else automatic. Use to call this 2 pedal transmission as apposed to the later generation Automatic as 1 pedal, no clutch action whatever.
Jack Mayer
John, Use clutch to start and stop. Everything else automatic. Use to call this 2 pedal transmission as apposed to the later generation Automatic as 1 pedal, no clutch action whatever. So, just to be clear - this is a 10-speed autoshift transmission. NOT a 10 speed manual.
