readytoride
I discovered Mobile Banking.....download the app for Wells Fargo and all you need to do is take a picture of the front then the back of the check and send. I love it. Limit of $1,000 a day deposit so if any of them are over that amount you have to go to the bank anyway. But Mobile banking is great! Agree - we use mobile banking too. No need to go to the bank - our bank via Schwab does not limit the amount - they just hold for 3 days to make sure it gets processed. IYQ
I found a wide place to park on the highway going up to Cimmeron Canyon that is a lot closer to where the bears come down to the lake. I took my cowgirl friend there tonight to watch for the bears. Guess what. No Bears tonight. So, we drove on through the canyon and potted a large herd of elk over near Ute. At least we didn't get skunked on the game watching tonight. We are invited to another cowgirls tomorrow night for a meatloaf dinner. So I picked up a bottle of cranberry juice for the occasion . Man, that is two against one. I better be careful. IYQ
Two cowgirls, myself, another man friend and his girl friend got together at one of the cowgirl's 5th wheeler for dinner tonight. Good food, cranberry juice, and great conversations transpired. A good time was had by all. Tomorrow the two cowgirls and your's truly are going to drive over to Raton, NM where I'll get my checks deposited, check out Sugarite Canyon State Park, the town museum and have lunch. That should be a nice trip and a lovely way to spend the day. steved44
I started in on another project. The original tank gauges (if you can call them that) have never worked well. The fresh water works, and the propane, but gray & black NOT!! Anyway, I finally bought a set of "see level" gauges to replace the origonals. I got the model 709 which reads voltage, fresh, gray, black & propane. I also got a separate extra read out to install in the wet bay so I can watch the fresh fill or the others dump and know what's going on. So far I mounted the read out in the cabinet over the drivers seat, and hooked up the power and the propane leads. That part works fine, so now to the tank senders. They use the existing wiring, so at least that part is ready to go. I can access two of the tanks from the passenger side, and the third (fresh water) I have to access from the drivers side and it's behind a wall that's going to be really fun to get too. I was going to try to do some today, but it came a big rain last night and I'd have to lay in the mud to do the work so I think I'll wait for a dryer time. I can do that you know!! It will be nice to get accurate read outs for a change. We usually get along fine except when we are at a place with elec and water with no sewer. Then it's nice to know how much tank you've got left. Tomorrow we are going to try and unstick the pin and move a little east for a couple of days. We are going to camp with a few of Carol's photography friends at Lake Fort Gibson. It's a state park and a nice lake so maybe we'll get the little boat out and fish a little. Then it's nice to know how much tank you've got left. Steve, I've yet to talk to anyone that has working gauges for the black & grey. Anxious to hear how you make out. I talked to the techs at the Airstream factory about it and they flushed my tanks about four times and recalibrated the panel. They told me to dump a gallon of vinegar in each tank and go for a tow. After that they read empty and I was a happy camper until I reread a day later...full again. Pretty sure I didn't take that many showers, etc.! Quote Roger & Lynn Rempe Class of 2012 & "Class-less"! IYQ
I've been thinking about getting some See Level gauges for a long time. But I never pay any attention to the gauges anyway. My system works ever time. When I feel water up to my ankles when I take a shower. The Grey tank is Full. When I flush the John and it belches gas back in my face. The Black tank is Full. When I try to drain the Gally Sink and it won't go down. The Gally tank is full. It works every time. I took two of my cowgirl friends over to Ojo Caliente to the Mineral Springs and Mud bathes yesterday. They soaked for about 2 1/2 hours then fell asleep on the way home. I went to a restaurant and had lunch while they were soaking. Then came back and set in the lobby for about a half hour waiting for them to come out of the pools. It was like reading Esquire Magazine only I didn' t have to turn the pages. All the scantily clad young ladies either checking in or leaving made for a pleasing read. There is nothing on the agenda for today except doing my laundry. I guess I might survive the task.
