  1. Hi Carl do you know if David “Georgiahybrid” is going to be at the rally?
  2. Hey David are you going to be at the national rally in October? Need to find out more information on how what where to order a truck.

  3. We will get there on the 9th might bring a snow shovel
  4. I used gorilla tape on a slide out because I could not get eternabond in time and it does not come off if it’s on a clean surface. I tried to peel but I comes off in small pieces that you can get your finger tips on. I now have eternabond but gorilla tape works real good
  5. I put the sailun son today, lifted the fifth wheel took all four tires off and went to get them mounted and balanced. The old tires Goodyear were not balanced from the factory. I have 8000 lb axles on the ms so the Goodyear tires were under rated but we were never close to gvwr. The sailun are an inch bigger diameter but I still have 3.750 between tires. That’s a work out putting 8 tires in the back of the truck then getting them back out to put back on. Greased the shackle bolts and bearings and checked brakes all looked good. The st 235/85r16 sailun tires have a 4400 lb weight rating so it should meet the standards now
  6. I ordered the sailun tires Saturday and got them today. 142 each no shipping they look good 2 were made mid March other 2 second and third week of April. No complaints here. Will take the wheels off fri and take to have tires swapped.
  7. I just measured the space between and it’s 4.750 so I think it should be ok , we don’t have i.s. Suspension so even if we lose an inch total between we should be ok. Thanks for all the info especially the tire size difference putting new ones on will be one less thing to worry about but 8 years out of the Goodyear tires are impressive maybe I can find someone who can use them on a reg trailer.
  8. Ok thanks didn’t know that. Do you happen to know the minimum space it needs to be? I always thought the space was closer than I see on others
  9. Thanks Gary I looked last week and the tire didn’t come up but when I went to the link you put in I found the right size mine are 23585r16. Found then for 142 and no shipping going to order and take a chance at the date code.
  10. Thanks we are near Springfield il. I haven’t been in a Walmart since the mid to late 90’s will do some more calling monday
  11. Thanks I will keep searching for sailun. Can’t find anybody in our area that has them.
  12. Been checking prices between Goodyear g614 and sailun s637 and a huge price difference. My gut is telling me to go with Goodyear which we haven’t had a problem with the ones we have now and they are 8 or 9 years old, but people say sailun are a great tire and close to half the price. Need some opinions. I don’t have a problem with spending the money on the tires and not worrying but are the sailun that good?
  13. Only plan on keeping it 2-3 years then going to a new horizon. We have switched axles already to get away from the neverlube hubs that were on it. We are not full time yet but as soon as our house sells we will be less than a year from full time. We are not over weight and mostly short trips while still working. Always check tire pressure before leaving and temps when we stop and usually stop every couple hours. Prob should have done it when we switched axles but to late. Finishing up a rotted vanity slide floor now. Longest trips we make are to the rally’s ( hdt).
  14. I second that, unless we need something and can walk in and get it off the shelf and not have to ask anybody anything we won’t go in. The previous experience with then they were not very knowledgeable about rv brands and some never heard of drv. And the name changed to Gander outdoors.
  15. Thanks Darryl that’s where I found it I will get some to keep in the camper
  16. Where can you buy eternabond tape? And is there any other name it goes by?
  17. Got everything out and first piece in and letting glue dry over night then will putt it in glue in between and screw from the inside. And seal it better. Could have done in one day but that wasn’t the only thing that needed done here.
  18. Going to get a sheet of 1/2 sanded both sides. I have some baby rocking chair I make and that’s what I need for then so it want be wasted. Need to run to Menards to get supplies not really to bad of a job. Wouldn’t want to do a big slide.
  19. I just got it out in one piece. Only 7 screws holding it in but I had to take the weight off the slide to slide the wood out. It’s 1 inch thick. The hardest part is getting the white sheet off the wood to use over. I just bought a new hose to replace that next.
  20. I’m starting to replace the floor in our 2011 drv rssb3 small dresser slide out. I’m sure somebody has done this before. It doesn’t look like the walls need support like if we’re a full slide. Looks like steel slides on both sides support it. It’s not rotted all the way back and only looks to be 3/4 inch but we just had over 2.5 inches of rain and the wood is soaked. Looks like the sealant was skimped on and then no way for it to get out. Any tips would be appreciated
  21. Just registered for rally last minute
  22. Apparently they stopped making the G614’s
  23. Thanks for all the replies ,we have decided on sailun anybody looking for tires for a car trailer I will have four. Will have at the rally in hutch. If not I will prob just leave at the tire shop
  24. Hard to find at local stores I couldn’t even get them at local propane filling places. Amazon has them all I replaced the hose on out gas propane grill so I could run it off our outside quick disconnect propane line under the rv. Just had to take off the second regulator. Rv stores didn’t even have them. Lowes has the female fitting I think but not the male.
