If you are in Bismarck, and the weather is ok, then run I-90 to Spokane, then take US 395 west of Spokane to hit I-82 in the Pasco area to I-84, run that to the east side of Portland, pick up I-205 around Portland and then I-5 south to Medford. Quickest way to go, least number of passes, misses the problems going over the Cascades, etc.
We double tow and I don't want my wife to have to follow me any further than she has to.

I don't know why you'd go all the way up to I-90. I-80 would be my choice. There are a couple secondary two-lane routes with shorter miles but not for November.
I'm in Bismarck ND. If weather cooperates it would be I-94 to Billings, I-90 to Idaho Falls, and then something further west.

Travel safe,

We've been to the West Coast rally twice at Ambassador RV Resort. Nice place.
So 20 is good if the weather is good... otherwise we'll drop down and make our way to I-5 and run up to Medford.

Need a route from the Idaho Falls area to Medford Oregon. We are a big rig, and double tow behind the RV. Looking for a route that will get us as close as possible before we have to separate and my wife will drive the car. This is gonna be in mid to late November. If weather doesn't cooperate for us to come across I-90, we'll drop down and run I-80 thru Salt Lake and Nevada.
Also looking for suggestions for overnight stops.

I tried to work with Pops RV on a 5th wheel awhile back, and it seemed like a shell game was going on. Never got pics I asked for, they kept asking for a deposit before i even laid eyes on the unit, said I couldn't have it 3rd party inspected until they had my deposit, which was 10% of the sale price. I walked.... RAN away.

Most of the DRV crowd is using Lexel. Its available at Lowes or online. It isn't the easiest caulking to apply, but works well.
If you are on Facebook, Look up Leon Kirby Or The Nomad Detailer. He has several U-tube videos on how to apply Lexel without making a huge mess.

Look at the TSD LOGISTICS account. We get the trucker discount.

If the coolant in the overflow had sloshed far enough from the sensor it will throw a code. Even on my old '98 with a Cummins, it has done it. Off camber/canter at a campground and bounced a tire over a rock.

Our 610 Volvo is a 10sp as well. There are times I like it, and times its aggravating. We used it as a daily driver for 4 years so there were times my leg got tired of the clutch. Only clutched to get rolling... float everything else.

Dumb question but what gets put inta a “5th wheel” trailer to get it to weigh 22,000 lbs, 11 tons, 10,000kg, 10 tonnes?

When we had our Carrilite 36MAX1 It weighed in at 18000+... and had 4500lb pin weight.

I have the same disease! Been looking for a 'Y' adapter so I can plug the brake controller and a scanner/monitor in at the same time. So far, I've found every kind of configuration except what I need. I have the 6-pin plug.
You can go from the 6 pin truck side to a 9 pin and either another 9 or OBD style

I still have my P-pump 12 valve 98 Ram with NV4500 5 speed. The "Holy Grail" of the pre electronic motors that started in 98 1/2 model year.
I plan to keep it. No need to get rid of a perfectly good durable drive train, until the Dodge jiggly bits fall off.
Yours being all mechanical will still be running when all the plastic electronics are long gone....

Did you have anything adjusted while they had your ECM Jim?
Yes, They raised the RPM limiter to 2200 from 1800, reprogramed for more HP and torque. To take full advantage of it I need to swap injectors out. Also changed the shut down setting and high Idle parameters, got the speedometer back in calibration.

See if you can get it on a Cummins computer. It's the easiest option without throwing parts at it. Not having your display working sets it back. The display would show a code that you can search.
-
Midwest ECM might do it. They specialize in the Cummins ECM but its worth a call. I'm pleased with what they did with mine.

It happens to us on occasion. Placed we stayed in North Georgia was 600 plus electric for the month. Weekly was 275. We have on occasion paid a month and then left after 2-3 weeks.

Thanks David! The DRL module was removed when it caused issues in the past.

Update!
On my headlights, they are the T2 type bulb socket. The harness end that the bulb plugs into has 3 wires, ground and 2 powers. When connecting the harness plug to the bulb, the low beam power wire was pushing up out of the socket instead of connecting onto the bulb connector. Connector is only 23 years old....

Here is the scenerio-
Truck is a 1998 Volvo VNL 610
Drivers side low beam headlight doesn't operate. Passenger side does.
Swap bulbs side to side- issues stays on drivers side.
High Beams work on BOTH sides.
Fuses are visually good.
New headlight harnesses from Deep Space lighting AKA our resident guru David Dixon. No issues for 3 years. Harness ohms out correctly.
Is there a relay I'm missing?

We registered ours back in 2014. Did the affidavit with the boxes checked to show it was an RV. Never got asked any questions about it. Took longer waiting in line than the actual window time. Minnehaha County, Sioux Falls

We have a 2013 Pure, that I added wider rims and tires to. In 2018 we paid 4800 for it with 18000 miles. It had be an advertisement car and had city road rash. Runs good.

I think I got it.... but will it back feed?

Fuel tanks
in HDT
I can fill our passenger side, 150gal, and by knowing how low the drivers side is, I can add about 3-4 gallons a minute and let it transfer over. I usually do this when someone has honked a horn at me, flashed their lights, rudely telling me that trucks don't belong in "Their Lanes" etc. I ran 70 gallons into the drivers tank this way once.... Just to prove a point.... I got more time than money.

Nice! Yeah, it kinda of funny how its easy to carry in 10 20ft sticks of tubing, but when all cut and welded its seems to weigh twice as much.
