  1. Well, you do win the prize for getting there the earliest this year! Wait! There is no prize for getting there early! Be safe.
  2. First off, I'm 6'2" and I get into the smart car and move the seat forward. I am still tandem and plan to stay that way. It has allowed me to get out of some "stuck" situations at least 3 times. Depending on what your future plans might be with a trailer (I know, we all say this is the last one), your pin weight might be a problem, depending on what you do with a large drom (for extra storage of stuff) (especially if you don't have side boxes).
  3. Thanks Rick. I will be just like those avid golfers were when one of their foursome had a heart attack and died while playing -- hit the ball, drag George, hit the ball, drag George!!!!!!
  4. Rick, glad you made it through. We are down at our normal place in Mission, TX getting ready for our Mission Trips across the border to finish a huge project started last January.
  5. Paul, your eye site is far better than mine, but I was watching for you. Landed here today and someone said that they saw me over in Colombia, MO. last year. Now that could have been you!
  6. We left the Mammoth Cave area in Cave City, Kentucky yesterday and now at out spot at Hillsdale Lake State Park, south of Olathe, KS. Great day and remembered getting chased out of here in May when the lake was flooding.
  7. It still is about CC's build, but just so much more on the suggestions side!
  8. I'm wondering in reality how many degrees of a turn it will take until you start "customizing" the corners of your trailer? I'm thinking maybe 30 until you have contact???
  9. Currently at the Fair Grounds in Norman, OK, to speak locally, and then will pull out of here and into Hillsdale Lake Park, south of Olathe/Kansas City on Friday. Should be there about 4 weeks.
  10. Just pulled into the fairgrounds in Norman, OK. Might be here two nights. Just depends.
  11. The setup you see in my picture below, gives me my driver car wherever I am. Many of us are set up this way. And you will save a ton over the mdt price.
  12. We just set up camp at Hillsdale Lake State Park, south of Olathe, Kansas. Will be here about a month.
  13. "Garmina" proven herself to me several times like that. But then other times she hasn't got a clue!
  14. Contact Gregg and see if he has a suggestion on getting yours repaired faster.
  15. All set up at Hillsdale Lake State Park, south of Olathe, Kansas. Good timing as they just turned on the water to our loop at the park today. Using the 30amp outside loop which is right on the water. Just need the sun to come out after it rains tomorrow! This is a great park and now it is even better since we have our own tank on the truck for dumping our trailer tanks.
  16. Arrived in East TX in the piney woods for about a week, just south of Tyler. Will head up to Hillsdale State Park in Kansas in about a week. Jack, get things a little hotter up there for us. Don't mind the cool nights, but like it in the mid 70's during the day.
  17. Rod, you should see a small box pop up when you click on the blue. The real link is inside the box.
  18. On the road (HWY 35) today as we leave the big city of Sanger, TX, and will overnight at Cabella's, south of Austin, and then on to the RGV for arrival on Saturday. Might be a little crowded with so many rigs headed south! Looking forward to the drive! Have I said how much I love driving this rig?!
  19. Jim, glad you made it out! See you down the road sometime.
  20. Pulling out of Hillsdale Lake State Park (KCK area) and will be in Hutch for the Rally by the afternoon.
  21. I kinda run along the same lines as Jack. We have this huge 5th wheel with lots of basement storage, and we quickly filled it up. Really knew that I wanted the size cab of the 770/780 with all of it's storage area, and now have the right size drom so I can fill it up also! As a full timer, can't be without enough storage. Plus it rides real nice and is comparatively quiet! Yes, I enjoy driving it as much as anything I have driven - bobtail or towing.
  22. Wow! That's Great Advice! And it sounds like singling it was not the deciding factor! Good advice. Drive a few and imagine the next 5 hours in it, for a few days in a row!
  23. Jim and Jack - guess we'll see you both in Hutch before you see each other in Tampa?
