We should be there around the 17th or so. Bought a truck camper for our adventures in Alaska next summer. If all goes well we'll pick it up Thursday and put it into storage for a few months, Never a dull moment! Sue

We are staying at Campland on the Bay in SD until Jan. 17th. While we are here Paul is helping his nephew build a deck and the nephew lives in Oceanside, not that far from where you will be, I think. With the holidays, the "work schedule" is a little disjointed but if we could meet up with you guys for dinner on a day when we'll be at their house, that could work out great. Lets take a look at it once you are there! Sue

gee whiz. wrote a whole page and it disappeared. So, to repeat: we will arrive in Q about January 19th. We love Silly Al's if you don't care how long you wait for a table and your food. Last minute plans probably work best. Hot dogs over the fire are better than anything. We will not be going to Yuma, but hope to spend a couple of weeks in Parker and/or Havasu before heading to Mesa mid February. We're dying to put the boat in the water. Roger and Lyn, we "did" FL last winter. It was great, but as you say, too much $$$$, too many bugs, and too much wind for us. BUT we did meet Charley and Deloris and that was the highlight for us, so say hi to them for us. I'd love to say more but am afraid the "send" key really means "delete" Sue

well, we don't have kayaks. Our boat has an engine, so if any of you kayakers run into trouble, you can just holler and we'll tow you upriver! Linda, we aren't members of Emerald Cove. I am ready to come back to the states, just to get data on my cell phones (whine whine whine). We are back in Nova Scotia, doing some genealogy before we head to Michigan. We didn't leave much extra time so we'll be putting in some 350 mile days. Carol, before AZ, we'll be in NM, and TX and back and forth a bit, so there's a good chance we can swing by -wherever you happen to be Lee, some of the 2.5 gallon jugs of DEF come with the spout in the box, just FYI Going to put some earplugs in to deaden the noise coming from the party next door.... Linda, Paul says no worries, Lee is towing which will "use it up" faster, plus a bigger engine. 7000 miles is about what we get. Lee, thats cool, just didn't want you to get taken advantage of!

Lee, if you are talking about DEF, (diesel exhaust fluid) its a simple thing to add it yourself, it doesn't require servicing ($). Wallyworld sells it, as do most auto parts stores and many of the truck stops now carry it at the pump- you just have to put it in. Paul usually refills ours when it gets half empty because once you've gone down to zero, the truck will go into "limp home " mode for a short while and then stop running altogether. Sue

Steve, I just mentioned to Paul that I would like to be able to put the boat in the water in Parker, so spending some time there sounds like fun to us. We are booked in CA until Jan. 13, then will head to AZ. Maybe Q for a week or so, then head to Parker? We were also thinking we might check out imperial dam this year but thats definitely written in chalk. PS, if you wanted to spend time with people, why did you drive right past us in Florida?

I do remember Denise, although our paths only crossed briefly. Its funny. I vaguely remembered that my next door neighbor lady when I was a kid was from Newfoundland, but I wasn't sure I remembered right. Then we got here and I heard the accent, and I thought "yup! she sure was from Newfoundland."
