  1. Julie, If we can get outta here soon enough, we definately will be looking to meet up with you guys! we have a list of things that DRV needs to fix, down in Howe, IN, then we should be free as birds, woohoo!!!
  2. Jeri, sorry to hear about Terry's dad, keep us posted on how he is doing! It's amazing how we can go about our travels, footloose and fancy free and all of a sudden "real life" rears its head, whether it be in the form of a health issue, a wedding, a death, problems with the rig, etc. I for one have had a hard time remembering that our lives ARE real life and I have to work at not feeling like these things are "interruptions". We are happy to have the "distraction" of our daughter's wedding behind us, although I must say, we had a great time- tons of fun for 4 days, seeing family and friends etc. We will stay here for another 2 weeks, finishing up some doctor's appointments, helping the newlyweds get settled in their apartment and moving our daughter's stuff out of our trailer so we can get it back to "normal". Once we leave here we head to Indiana to DRV to get some issues fixed on the trailer. then after that, ahhhhhhhhhhhh, who knows and who cares??? looking forward to meandering meaninglessly for a while! we might head to Branson if we can convince Mike and Julie to keep that on their list of places to go, then maybe on to TX. I still need to get my TX driver's license. Sue
  3. I would love to NEED to move my marker. Got Hitch Itch real bad. I will be moving it from Indiana to Michigan in a few days though, so at least that's something.
  4. Lee, take care of yourself! You can always go to just one PT session and have them show you how to do the exercises. we are still in IN, but will head to Michigan for a month next Friday. Eric, I lost your number and email. send me a note if you are going to be at Waldenwoods or in the area! Sue
  5. Eric, where are you staying in MI? we will be at Haas lake from Sept 1-22, then at Waldenwoods for our daughters wedding. they are giving us a site for 5 nights. meantime, here we sit, still at the factory getting things fixed. hopefully our last day. gotta go help our daughter move out of her apartment.
  6. we're planning on being in Arizona for at least part of the winter as well. No idea where, and no idea for how long, but that's the tentative gameplan. As for now, we're still in Howe getting work done on the new rig. Sue
  7. Sandie- Happy Birthday (belated) I am having fun reading all the posts but I have had to read them on my phone for the most part, since we haven't had much internet, so I can't post much. We are in Indiana, sitting at the repair facility for DRV, getting a laundry list of issues resolved with the trailer. Ugh. Hope to be out of here in a day or so, but its getting so late that we'll probably just go from here to Muncie to move our daughter out of her apartment and into the trailer. Stay cool! Sue
  8. Well, we're both totally exhausted, but we got the new Mobile Suites yesterday and spent all day today putting everything away. Not that we are done yet, haha. As soon as the interior doesn't look like a cyclone hit it, I'll post some pictures on my blog. Monday we head to the factory to get some minor issues looked at and taken care of. meantime, I sleep. Sue
  9. Jeri, sorry to hear about your son. that type of injury is not easy to deal with- takes a long time to heal we are sitting in Muskegon MI, all hopes of picking up our Mobile Suite this week are dashed. there was a problem with the paint and they need to re-do some of it. Oh well, we head to Cherry Festival in Traverse City on Sunday for a week. We'll pick it up when we get done with that. Meantime the weather has turned to crap. thunderstorms since yesterday afternoon and they are still going!! Very strange. Poor kids can't get in the pool at the resort we're in because about every 15 minutes the sky lights up. At least its not as bad as across the lake in Chicago where they have had 80 mph winds and golf ball sized hail. I'll take the thunder! I guess we're going bike shopping instead of bike riding today. Sue
  10. I'm not RVing with Steve and Carol, thats for sure actually, glad everyone is surviving the nasty weather that seems to be popping up everywhere. we are in MI, headed to Lake Michigan for a few days before heading to Traverse City for Cherry Festival. Our Mobile Suite will not be ready for pick up for a week or so, so we'll have fun first. Sue
  11. Lee, You are exhausting me just reading about all the stuff you are doing. we are "moving" to TX right now, so I can sympathize with all the running around required! Sue
  12. Love that~!~~ We are in MA for another week or so before heading back towards Michigan. running around like crazy trying to see as many people as possible. Luckily for us the tornadoes veered off the other day and we had packed our cat and "go bag" for naught. Sad that people died and so much damage was done. they aren't used to tornadoes up here in MA.
  13. Gee Whiz, Steve, you guys be careful!! Err on the side of caution, just to be safe! We are finally taking our leave of Pennsylvania tomorrow, sporting a brand new F450. we're headed to NY for a few days before getting to Boston for a few weeks. Its amazing how stressful it can be just sitting and waiting, but we finally got the truck, whew! Sue
  14. Well, Paul is back from Texas- no issues driving the car back for our daughter, other than it felt like a feather blowing in the wind on the highway, after driving a dually for 2 years. Hard to believe we have been here in Muncie IN for almost a month, and will leave here next Thursday. We're on a buying frenzy right now. So much of our energy is spent on researching, pricing etc etc, we're going a little crazy with it. On Tuesday, we ordered a brand spankin new 36 TKSB4 Mobile Suite! It should be built in 6 weeks. We made some custom modifications so its really going to be "ours". Tonight we ordered two La-Z-Boy recliners to put in the new trailer, and next week we are going to look at a new 2011 F450. Yikes! We spent this morning at DRV picking out decor and going over some of the customization with the guys there. I guess we're a little nuts, but once we have "our" trailer, it should last us for many years~ Sue
  15. Hey Lee, You need to get some Parmalat Milk. Its ultrapasturized and can sit unopened in the cupboard for about 3 months. We always keep some on hand so Paul doesn't cry when he wants cereal and we have no milk left. Sorry that there's snow where you are headed. Seems like this spring we get to pick our poison. Everywhere seems to be having their issues. Its hard to believe that MAY Starts tomorrow! I haven't seen good weather for about a month now! Paul is hoping to head back to Indiana Tuesday or Wednesday. He flew to TX to see his mom, but also to get her old car and drive it back to IN for our daughter to have. Gives me peace of mind to know she'll have a decent car! Sue
  16. Steve, Congratulations!! I am SO happy for you and Carol! Now you can get outta Dodge and not look back. Hope to catch up to you on the road soon! Sue
  17. sitting by myself in Indiana. I hope there are no tornados here! seems like we have watches and warnings almost every day. Paul flew to TX yesterday to spend a week with his mom, and drive a car back to Indiana for our daughter. his first flight to TX was cancelled due to the bad storms, so he had to spend the time shopping for wedding stuff with my daughter and I, poor guy.
  18. I guess so, technically. Not sure how you're supposed to get to the little seat with all the clothes hanging there, but we only spent about 10 minutes in the trailer, so we'll have to check it all out when we get it. Nothing makes up for the LACK of kitchen cabinets though. We'll have to be creative with where we put things. we're hoping to get it on Thursday or Friday next week, depending on how fast we can get the paperwork done. Part of the delay is our fault- we decided to make the switch to Texas domicile at the same time, and are awaiting our new address. Meantime our daughter wants to go to the outdoor carnival on campus tonight and the wind is whipping at 40 mph with a windchill of about 30 degrees. I hate to disappoint her but................... Sue
  19. Lee, you should write a blog. Your posts here are so much fun to read, I always look forward to them. Steve, I am crossing my fingers that the sale of the house still goes through without too much of a hitch. we've had our own "house" issues as well. We have been in the Goshen area for almost a week, trying to deal with these problems. its been a very stressful time but hopefully in another week things will look better. We took our Everest back in to Keystone to get the frame flexing issue fixed for the 2nd time. Paul has noticed some really bad warping and twisting. He showed the shop manager and a Lippert representative what he was talking about. We sat and waited for a few hours while they pulled the trailer nose cone off etc and then came back in to talk to us. They agreed that the trailer has serious issues. The floor is bowed, the outriggers are bent, the walls are separating and the slides are warping. there are several broken welds- some they can see, but some they would have to pull the trailer apart further to find. Kudos for Keystone that they didn't hesitate to say they will swap us into a brand new trailer. They don't make the Everest anymore so it took two days of discussions and "shopping", to come up with an alternative that we could both agree on. So, next Thursday or Friday we should be able to swap out into our new "home", a 2012 Keystone Alpine 3200RL. Its bigger than our Everest, so it won't be exactly an even swap, but we're happy with their reasonable offer. In the meantime, while we wait for the paperwork, we are in Muncie IN visiting with our daughter. We'll actually be here for a month before heading on to New England to see our son, Sue
  20. we're hanging out in Goshen/Howe/Millersburg Indiana for a few days before heading to Muncie for a few weeks. Paul is flying to El Paso to spend a week with his mom in the next week or so... Sue
  21. we stayed put the other day when the wind warning was active in Oklahoma. Right now we are in Chanute, KS (wanna guess why?) headed to Indiana by way of Lake of the Ozarks. At least the weather has been pretty good for the last two days. Sunny (windy) but warm enough to sit outside. Sue
  22. I spent an hour talking to Marvin tonight- what an awesome guy. we discussed the Acadian history at length. Not sure about George and CeCe- I'll ask tomorrow when everyone gets back from the free lunch/free booze dance. sheesh.
  23. we're hanging out at Betty's RV Park, and made one HUGE Mistake. We planned for about 5 nights here in order to see stuff in this area. I knew this was a cool place but I didn't realize that the Betty's is such a destination place. There are so many parties and such to go to that we don't have enough time to sight see! I guess we'll just have to come back! Headed to New Orleans on Thurs. which means we'll miss the Thurs. party and the Friday Pot luck alligator dinner. Betty is cooking alligator for everyone~ Sue
  24. Sandie, sounds good to me. I always get confused as to which one I am looking at and posting on, so this would make it easier! great job, thank you! Sue
