Coming up for air here on Newfoundland, where Wi-Fi is not as plentiful as moose. I sure do miss my data plan. weather has been great here, sunny, in the 70s (F). one more week on the island and we head back to Nova Scotia. Sue

Eric, enjoy your time off! We'll be coming thru Novi in Sept for Dr. appts. As soon as we leave there we'll be beelining for Albuquerque, but if we can, we'll try to swing your way on the way thru. Carol, we felt the same way about PEI. We can take it off our "must return to " list. We are enjoying Newfoundland but Nova Scotia is my favorite so far. Sue

Finally unstuck ourselves from the quicksand of family visiting in MA and are working our way towards Canada. Its always bittersweet when leaving one of the kids.

Congrats on the truck, julie. I know Mike was bragging to Paul about it We will also be in Arizona/California/Texas this winter. We'll be resting up to hopefully spend the summer in Alaska next year. In the meantime, we'll spend this summer in the Canadian Maritimes. Sue

Lee, with our nav system, if you turn up the volume control while she is talking to you, it will turn up the volume on the nav directions only, not the radio. Sue

The more the merrier, in my book. We weren't out in Q this year, so WE didn't meet any of the "new" people- yet. So whether some or all of "us" have met someone doesn't really matter, I would think. If someone is active on the forum, then it is more likely that we will try to meet them if we happen to drive near them. I think when you put a "class-less thread" out there, by its nature it is open to everyone. And Should be. It's not based on being at the same point in a fulltime adventure, its more about a camaraderie amongst all who want to be part of a conversation. We still have this thread to maintain a Class identity. Sue

We are spending our last few days in Georgia at Tallulah Gorge, before heading into North Carolina for a while. Hoping to see some of the Blue Ridge Pky, but we Probably won't tow the trailer on it. We still have a couple of weeks before we need to be in DC, so we will spend most of it in VA. Hoping to meet up with Charlie. I'd love to see Lee And Loralie but I think they are too far west of our route. Hey, question for anyone who has been to Canada. we are figuring on spending about 6 weeks in the Nova Scotia area. If you've been up there, what did you have to do for customs, and did you need to make reservations at RV parks? We are hoping to Wing It as usual. We're also trying to figure out an internet plan, since we are both addicted to our iproducts. Sue

yuck. our worst turn around problem was on the Natchez Trace. Took the scenic pull-out, towing the trailer, THEN saw the NO RV TURN AROUND sign . Oops. after attempting a 20 point turn (in the rain of course) we realized they weren't kidding and he had to back the trailer back up on to the road. NOT a fun day. My Ipad was the best purchase I ever made. Google earth at my fingertips. Now we check first!Happy to see that there are a few people on the east coast. We'll try to hook up with Jerry and Janice, Ed and Linda and Charley and Deloris as we meander towards Boston! Headed to Savannah in a day or so. We might make it to CO this year, but it won't be until fall if we do. Sue

Charley and Paul spent a couple of hours fixing our dinghy motor (thanks Charley!). The winds finally calmed down enough for us to take it out for the afternoon. I LOVE the water here. So pretty!! saw a dolphin on the way in. Today was our 13th wedding anniversary, so we went out to dinner at a restaurant on the water. sweeeeeeet!

What a surprise (not)!!!!! um, what exactly did you say about us?I had a margarita tonight and Paul tried one of those "slushy" ones. When I told him it tasted like a bandaid, he tried to steal mine!The weather here in the keys has been great until today. now its windy and "cold". we still can't get the boat in the water. Steve, Paul and I have debated taking one of those last minute cruises, but Dozer looks at us with those sad little (vicious) kitty eyes, and begs us not to leave him (unless he has an unlimited food supply) If one of your stops is Key West, let us know and we'll see if we can meet you there. if not, we'll try to catch you on the way north! Toni, they are here with us in the Keys. We met them by chance this afternoon and started talking .,,,,,,,,,you know how THAT goesWe told them about our very loose "group" of friends. Charley, it was great meeting you two today- we'll catch up with you soon to give you the Escapees Magazine! The weather here has been outstanding! my brother and sister-in-law have left to go back to the cold in Boston, poor suckers! We were hoping to put the boatin the water tomorrow, but apparently now there is a small craft advisory. Ugh.

Glad to hear everyone is starting to congregate. I sorta wish we were there, but then, we rode our bikes to the beach today. Sunny and 84- pretty sweet down here in the Keys. Went kayaking yesterday but its been too breezy to bother putting our boat in the water.We still have a month left in the keys before we start moving north. my brother and his wife arrive on Saturday for a week, so it should be a good time. and if it isn't a good time, we'll drink until it IS!
