Larry - One thing I didn't notice until just now: In the photo of Greg's carbon bed with the jeep on it, that is a model 670 truck. A much smaller and lighter cab/sleeper than your 860. Even with the composite bed, I would side with the other guys here that the weight on your steer axle with a jeep and no trailer may be a concern. Not to mention, when fully loaded with jeep and trailer, what is the weight on the truck, steer and drive? I would advise extensive research before incurring the expense of singling, only to be overweight on one or both axles afterword.

Spent the last hour trying to pay for my registration... Had to re-enter the entire worksheet and it finally worked.

Cleaned, vacuumed and scrubbed the vinyl floor in preparation for the trip to Crossville. Tomorrow I'll pack up all my tools and supplies and well be ready to go...

They are okay, but in a nasty accident today in Montana. Their trailer and car are destroyed and truck is damaged... Copied from Dee's FaceBook: First of all, Jim, myself and the dogs are fine. The ambulance checked us both out. My blood pressure was really high and Jim’s was a little high. We are now homeless and carless. Jim was only doing 35ish on an 80 MPH road. The snow was very wet, slick and slushy. I think there was ice on the road as well. The trailer shimmied. Jim corrected three or four times trying very hard to get us straight but we ended up in the median facing the other way. The truck tipped over but came to rest upright. The trailer and the car didn’t fare so well. Everything we own is inside the trailer, including medicine, clothes, my business stuff, Jim’s business stuff,our computers and more. This happened at mile marker 467.5 on I-90 west about 20 miles from Billings, Montana (our destination). But Jim’s crew are angels. They came and got all the work stuff out of the car, took us to a motel and later to get a rental car. They are wonderful! I’ll keep everyone updated. I’m so glad God and Jim kept us from getting injured. This could have been so much worse.

Picked up Thunderstruck from her annual maintenance and inspection visit. New oil, filters, and a thorough inspection from a far smarter-than-me group of experts. She got a clean bill of health for this seasons shenanigans...

I am with Auto Owners insurance. For my home, cars, RV and the Big Truck. When our truck was hit by lightning (2022), they not only paid for the HDT tow to a Volvo dealer 30 miles away, but also paid for the repairs to the truck totaling almost $70,000. They not only renewed me (twice), with only a small market increase in the premium since then, but did not require me to change the $100 deductible. As a side note, in the fall of 2022 my wife hit a deer with her car adding another $7500 claim to our policy that year and they still didn't cancel us.
