well a sunny day here... at last. we are getting winter weather here in ca right now, (today is MAY 20 2019), we should be complaining of the heat. more snow over Donner pass. and even more on the way this week.

but back to my posting.

how to remove the black spots of a rubber roof. gave my roof a good washing. lots of dirt, the white of the mtr looks great. but the whole of it looks "spotted" kinda like a leopard. any help with out going up there and using bleach?

Next time you wash your EPDM roof, add a few oz. bleach to a 5G bucket of water and car wash soap. I wash my entire RV with this, not only does it remove dirt from everything it removes black spots from the roof, awnings, and vinyl trim.

The only thing you should do is rinse thoroughly, as some awnings are sewn with cotton thread; continued exposure will weaken cotton, as you may have noted if you get undiluted household bleach on your blue-jeans.

I've been using this to wash my RV's and autos since 1997 without noticing any negative effects.
