Same here..... it's gonna be another glorious day in the desert! They should have no problems travelling today!

The winds are still around here. Today though it's going to be milder as they are saying only 25 mph winds. The gusts are certainly going to be much more. We're so tired of the wind. One person we talked to said he was here for 3 weeks and it was windy every day. I guess we won't be coming back here. We're pulling out tomorrow. I hope they are calmer then. <_<

Beautiful day today but a little on the cool side. 21 degrees last night and only made it to 64 this afternoon. I didn't get much done today except run back and forth to town 3 time to get stuff I forgot the first two times. It sure feels good to waste water again. But the electric doesn't feel any different than when I boonedock. Maybe that's because I forgot to plug it into that current bush out there beside the trailer. Oh Well, I'll do that tomorrow.

Got our mail yesterday and we have a morning arrival on the 22nd. Are you ealy birds? The casino sounds like a good place to go before the rally. See ya.

I put my arrival letter in a safe place and it took forever for me to find it. We are going in a day early on Wednesday the 21st in the a.m. Hopefully we'll see you there. I have your card and we'll try and meet up. We still plan on camping at the casino on the night of the 20th.

Wasted the day re-installing the docking program for my Rand McNally GPS. I finally got it working right. For now, that is. Then a couple of cowgirls came to see me. I think one of them wanted to be introduced by the other. Oh Well, any excuse is a good one if it works. That act prompted me to make a small sign and put it on my screen door slider. It Reads: WARNING!! REPUTATIONS MAY BE SULLIED. It will probably attract more cowgirls.

I got all kinds of busy today. I ordered wire to move my solar panels to the other side of the trailer. I finished wiring in the switches and terminal box to the solar controler to be ready to move the panels. I went to town to talk to Jimmy about fixing my trailer brakes. I re-arranged the junk in the back of the truck. I cleaned a few thing in the trailer and even went for a walk. Now my hip is complaining but it's time to hit the hay so I hope it is well rested in the morning because I have to take the truck in to Ford for service. They forcast wind for tomorrow, Yuk.

And the wind here just started so I imagine this afternoon won't be a good day to sit outside! Have been waiting for these "high winds" for 2 days now, and wish they would hurry up and get on with it! We're suppposed to have a big BBQ tomorrow here in the park, and if it's yukky they will push it to Thursday! Or Friday! Not a good time to plan an outdoor activity. DH is on the Golf course today and I made him a Germ. Choc cake for his birthday! Wish you guys were here! Have a great day IYQ and don't work too hard!

We've certainly been rocking and rolling too. The winds have been blowing all day and it just seems to get worse. Winds have been in the 40's with gusts between 60 - 70 mph. Ugh!

Just to help you all keep some perspective, we got temperatures in the mid 50s today and everyone is celebrating. We ran errands until we had to come home for our grocery delivery. Would have been willing to do our own grocery shopping this week if we'd known how nice this ONE day would be.

The winds here were not to bad today only about 22 mph but they promise 40+ mph winds tomorrow. Then breezy the rest of the week and part of next week. That's the one thing I don't like about the southwest. But, I can think of a lot of other things I don't like about a lot of other places. I was sitting inside trying to carve today. I was working on a piece that has a lot of very fine detail. Every time a gust of wind would rock the trailer I'd slip and cut in the wrong place. After about 10 slips like that I just junked the whole project.

I took my truck into Ford for service this morning and ask them to clean the engine because of all the sand and dust from these wind storms. When I picked it up the truck had been washed so I didn't bother about looking at the engine. When I got home I popped the hood and there was more dust in that engine compartment than in my vacuum sweeper bag. Guess where I'll be going in the morning.

Don't think I blame ya! Make em get it right! It's been pretty windy, increasing all day, til about 8 we had 32 mph.... Now it's calming down a little. Hope it'll be gone in the morning. We went out for supper and the dust and sand looked like a blizzard in the headlights! I just keep reminding myself I'm sitting in short sleeves and shorts and we don't have to scoop it!!!! For a while tonight I thought I was on a boat!lol

Just looked out the door. Stuff blown everywhere. The wind even managed to lift and move the table. Just tiny breeze this morning.

It been rocking and rolling so bad today I ran out of Sea Sick pills. I tried to go into town and they had the highway blocked because of Zero Visability, I took the back roads and got there anyway. There was one place about 2 blocks long where I had to look out the side window to see the line on the highway. I just creeped through that area. Coming back they had the road blocked in a different place so I had to find another way around on back roads. Every thing in the trailer is covered with dust. I took my truck back to Ford this morning and had them clean the engine. I'll probably either have to do it again tomorrow or just let in live in it's own squalor.

It was a nice day today although a little cool until just before dark and the wind came back with vengence. It's calmed down a bit but is still blowing at between 15 and 20 MPH at 7:30 PM. My mail came today so I didn't do much except take care of the mail and make phone calls. A friend knocked on the door and ask if I'd take him into town to retrieve his truck. I welcomed the drive to town to get away from reading all the mail. I haven't had it forwarded for almost 3 months. It did have a 1099 in it that I was looking for so now I'll try to get the taxes done. Can one resign from the tax rolls?

The windstorm reached us today. This was a day to appreciate being in an apartment with nowhere we had to go. That meant we could enjoy looking out our patio door and seeing the white-coated limbs on the trees dancing in the wind. Being here is not all bad.

Not too much going on around here. Carol has been playing tennis 4 days a week, and since we are leaving Monday, tomorrow is her last day. She is cooking a chocolate cake for tomorrow morning for the group, but now she has to sleep with "one eye open", so I won't get into the cake first. Not much wind today and it got really still at sunset, except for the 4,000,000 mph solar particals blowing by, but I didn't see any of them!! Had to replace one of our lawn chairs as the sun has taken it's toll on them. They had some on sale at Sam's, so now we are "sitting pretty" again. Now I have to fire the bus up tomorrow and get all the tire pressures back to the correct ones before we pull out, plus get the oil and filter changed on the truck. Sounds like an agenda to me.
