Iroam607
How are full time RVers handling the high cost of gas and still roaming the USA
Kirk W
Actually, fuel expenses are one of the more easily controlled items by slowing down to improve mileage and traveling less with longer stays at each stop. In addition, using an app such as Gas Buddy or one of the fuel discount cards also help. You may need to adapt the time it will take to get everywhere but a slower pace of life is one of the key attractions of the lifestyle for many or most of us. Iroam607
Thanks for that input. Up till a week ago, I don't know why. But I forgot to consider fuel. I was focusing more on power and water.
Pat & Pete
When we started our full time life style , gas was closing in on 4 dollars a gallon . I planned on that , so when the prices dropped we were in good shape . Basically , we travel north and south depending on the season . It might take us a couple months to get from mid Texas to mid Michigan . Like Kirk says , unless you're in escape mode , just take it easy . You're not on anyone's clock except your own . A lot of 'new' full-timers think they have to get there . But , they are missing the best part of the adventure . Stick to the smaller roads and stay off the interstates as much as possible . You'll likely live longer with a lot less stress . Quote Goes around , comes around .
Iroam607
Great advice. I've walked and biked alot and definitely appreciate the things I've seen at a slower pace
