Too bad your new iPhone doesn't have this awesome feature

No not anti-iPhone because my Android doesn't have it either. And I have the latest Pixel 6 Pro running Android 13, because I don't have to wait for a third party to get the new versions ready.

But by golly I wish I had seen this before I bought mine. And the price is soooo looooow for the features!

RVrs are an adventurous group biking and hiking and running ATVs and two-wheelers. With these less chance of breakage. As well the pressure ratings (80 bars is a depth of 2676.5 feet!) and temps says you can dive with this! https://www.kylesconverter.com/pressure/bars-to-feet-of-water

"This budget, rugged Android phone has a secret compartment for a very cool feature.

While there's no doubt that the iPhone is the biggest selling smartphone in the world, it's interesting to watch other companies trying to come up with features that differentiate their offering from whatever Apple has come up with.

Sometimes the new features are a bit silly. Other times they are quite interesting.

Ulefone's Armor 15 is one of those with a very interesting feature.

On paper, the Armor 15 is quite a capable smartphone:

Ulefone 15 Armor tech specs

  • 5.45-inch HD display
  • Helios G35 octa-core processor
  • 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel rear camera
  • 16-megapixel front camera
  • 6GB RAM
  • 128GB storage
  • 6600 mAh battery
  • Face + fingerprint unlock
  • Water- and dust-resistant to IP69K (totally dustproof, and able to withstand water pressures of 80 to 100 bar/1,160 to 1,450 PSI at temperatures up to 176°F/80°C)
  • Android 12 operating system

When in the holding compartment, the earbuds get charged up so they are ready for use (they'll run for about 4 - 5 hours on a single charge, but have a runtime of over 500 hours thanks to the phone being the charging case).

The earbuds!

Overall, I like the Ulefone Armor 15. It's got the fit and finish and quality that I have come to expect from Ulefone, and the price is right, with the super early bird on Kickstarter set at $169.99, rising to a still very reasonable $209.99."

Me either plus we don't know if they will work on US systems we use. So I will have to wait and see. However, as a diver if it really is that water resistant you could keep it ina wetsuit pocket and if an emergency ascent it required from a wildlife interaction with a Man o War or a bite from a large fish it would be awesome to be able to summon help. (I know no cell towers at sea.) Soon there may be an LEO solution to that too from Starlink.

OK this is just tech toy fun and they only have 40 left. If I knew it would work on Verizon I would buy one now as a backup!

Or for $10 you could just buy a cell phone dry bag good for 100 feet down... :)

Dutch, you have a point but that is a solution not a toy! 😉

BTW MY hearing aids are broken since last year, I brought them in and when the VA fixed them the time before that lasted two days and this time one day. So I haven't worn any for a while now. This year I can get new ones. Gotta do the scheduling now. But I can use earbuds and headsets just fine, but I turn it up a bit more than before.
