ramseyjack
First time RV travel and do need cell and data service. Not sure if we do show up on the 22nd, probably have to park farther away and may not have ATT service (long time Mobley user). Do have a spare IDirect 8.4 I can load on the flatbed, but what a pain if not necessary. Going to be learning the whole boondocking thing also, so not oblivious to the challenges. Trying to figure out most of the issues ahead of time. Thanks! sandsys
There's so much desert around Quartzsite that there is never a need for far away no matter how many people come. There will, however, be lots of competition for cell service so everything will be slow. You might have to drive way out of town to get fast service. 2gypsies
This is an excellent group to park with at Quartzsite - the Escapees Boomers. Lots of fun and activities during 2 weeks of Quartzsite including seminars on many topics, and they'd definitely be able to help you with AT&T/Moberly. You don't have to pre-register. Just come and park your RV and you're warmly welcomed. From their recent newsletter: Boomerville in Quartzite AZ – January 16 - 30, 2022 Park your RV at the Plomosa Road Boomerville Camp (33°46’00.6”N 114°10’35.4”W) and enjoy the Quartzite RV Show (January 22-30) as well as the Rock and Gem Show (January 1 – February 28). 2022 co-hosts are Rebecca Crofton, Walter Harmon, Ron Stuebing and Dee Stuebing.
